Dear lord run away to one of the dozen other hotels in the area. There are no blankets here. Seriously just a sheet on the bed and not even a good one at that, I’ve never seen a thinner sheet in my life. To top that off the thermostat was set to 53 degrees and the room was about 60 degrees when I arrived and despite turning the thermostat up to 68 it was still only 66 when i woke in the morning. And the place is dirty. There was visible mold in the tub and a raised stain of mysterious pink color on the bathroom counter. The closet door mirror was broken. The desk is missing the edge banding on the front and looks terrible. Not worth even half of the $150 they charge for one night. I have stayed in hostels for under $20 a night with more comfortable beds and bedding and cleaner rooms than this hotel.

Do not stay here. I am not a writing reviews kind of person- especially negative ones- but I feel a duty to warn the unsuspecting public to not make the same mistake we did. The room was not clean- I’m very glad it was just a pit stop on a long drive for us, because I would not step in that shower in a million years- it clearly had not been cleaned. Also a weird stain on the bathroom counter. The AC was set at 53 when we got in our room, so we were freezing. Their idea of a “bedspread” is a weird, paper thin, textured top sheet. The mattress was hard. We asked for a room with two beds and got a suite with a double bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed was so uncomfortable my sister elected to sleep on the sofa itself instead. There also were no sheets for the sofa bed, nor were there extra blankets. Other highlights include a desk with a comletely raw front edge (there clearly was a verneer strip at one point that has come unglued and nobody bothered to replace it), a room that smells like cigarette smoke despite the no smoking claims, absolutely no breakfast of any kind, a large crack in the mirror in the room, and a lobby with no AC. The rooms have the potential to be nice, but this is clearly the most grossly mismanaged establishment I have ever had the displeasure of staying at.Safety: Did not feel safe. No signage, and there was an unsettling amount of activity in the parking lot for 11:30pm.

DO NOT STAY HERE, ACTUALLY READ THE REVIEWS. It is $30 more to stay at any other hotel nearby. Just do it.It's as if someone purchased a Courtyard Mariott 6 years ago, retained some of the reviews by some voodoo Google magic miracle, and then never cleaned or did any maintenance.I'll go through my list of red flags here:We booked through a third-party vendor. When we attempted to call, the phones didn't work. I'm fairly certain they don't have working phones. When we arrived, we did not know where we were. There was absolutely no signage indicating that we were at the Surface Inn.We are lucky that our map service took us to the right spot.We entered the building, and it was warmer than it was outside in the middle of summer. The clerk said "Hot in here, isn't it?" to my fiancée, then claimed the AC had been out in the lobby for two days. That was a lie, according to the reviews it had been out for much longer. When we went to validate that they had our reservation booked, they referenced a piece of scratch paper with guest names listed in pencil. I haven't seen a Hotel use a piece of paper to validate bookings in my entire life. I don't even know how they confirmed I had a reservation. They handed us a key that had clearly been used before. I have never felt that way about any key I've received at any hotel I've stayed at.We were staying on the third floor, and decided to take the elevator. I felt like the elevator was being hand cranked by someone in the basement. We took the stairs on the way back down. When we arrived in our room, the only light switch was on the polar opposite corner of the room from the door. It was dark. I had to use my flashlight to reach it.Half of the room was handicap accessible, half of it wasn't. I am not physically disabled. The counter for the bathroom sink was just above my knees. The kitchen counter was at my chest. There was no comforter on the bed, just a single rock-hard sheet. It felt like I was at the doctor's office and someone pulled a piece of paper over the bed.My fiancée wanted to shower, when she opened the door to the bathroom we discovered that every piece for the shower, including the towel rack, was unassembled in the bathtub. It was literally build your own shower. That was half of the point of staying in a hotel after a long road trip. When we woke up in the morning, and there was light, we noticed the rest of the things we hadn't noticed the previous night. There was literal paint on the floor in the hallways, water stains everywhere, dust and dirt. The entire place was disgusting. I'm fairly certain they do not have a maid.I went to work the ice machine, and by the grace of God there was no scoop for ice. I'm glad this happened, who knows what bacteria is swimming around in their ice. Additionally, one touch of the machine sent the entire front cover crashing down upon me.At least there weren't any bed bugs that I'm aware of. I have never felt like calling the better business bureau for anything, but this place needs to be shut down.

Room was infested with bed bugs and fleas. They are everywhere! Fleas were biting our ankles and I had to spend $150 at PetSmart that night, buying flea shampoo and medicine for my dog. The room had not been cleaned properly. It was filthy. Missing many items that are standard in rooms at every hotel for their guests. Advertising free breakfast but didn't have one thing. Not even coffee. And no coffee pot in the 2 bedroom suite either that I paid $168 for one night. I would never stay there again and I would tell anyone that is considering to... don't waist your money!

I'm not even sure what is going on in this hotel. Why are there at least 10 various broken down vehicles in the parking lot? Chains, missing wheels, spray painted cars.... And there's no hot water or even warm water in the room...It's August and we had to turn on the hear. There's a weird paper thin sheet on the bed and no blankets. No extra towels or anything useful. Terrible stay, would not recommend.

This was the absolute worst place we’ve ever stayed in, the staff didn’t care, the bathtub was gross, the covers on the bed were so paper thin we were freezing all night. Oh and the cherry on top we all got evacuated in the middle of the night because of a gas leak in the furnace room. I told my husband the second we walked in that I wanted to leave but we couldn’t get a refund so we toughed out a long two days here.

This is labeled as a 3-star hotel, I've stayed in motel 6's that had better up-keep. The room was not cleaned at all. The pillows were stained yellow, the toilet was visibly dirty. the A/C didn't work, the room had a stench that was unsettling. When we told the front desk about the room they seemed as if we were bothering them. They claimed they had no other rooms available, so then we proceeded to ask for a refund we will find elsewhere to stay, and magically they had another room available. Well, the new room was no better. The bed had a bunch of dirt on it, I didn't bother to check the rest of the room after seeing that. So needless to say, I would NEVER recommend this hotel to anybody. If I could give negative stars I would.
