“It’s old but clean. Staff was very nice. The lobby has a weird odor so first impressions were not great but the room smelled fine. Good tv channels. WiFi worked fine. Dollar tree in walking distance. Amazing Mexican restaurant (Pueblo Real) via DoorDash.”

“I love this place! Came here for the eclipse, April 2024. Great value for the price; owner was friendly and gracious, asked if there was anything I need several times. Very clean and tidy, quiet and safe. No, the maids did not come in during the afternoon, turn down the bed and put a chocolate on the pillow. This is not what I came for. I wanted a simple, clean, comfortable and friendly place to hang my hat for a few days and Jim Sunset Motel fit the bill! Fast WiFi, hot showers, microwave and clean fridge were essentials for my several day visit.Great location just off I90 with restaurants across the line in Conneaut (check out Rainbow Cafe or Sparky's) or a bit further away in Asthabula (Hi Mak Seafood or Crow's Nest!). Conneaut has a beautiful beach on the lake and many gorgeous old red brick buildings in the center of town. People come to Jim Sunset for the fishing and I heard a lot of great stories, but you know fishermen. People in this area are proud of their heritage and incredibly friendly, just strike up a conversation and learn about the history of the place.”
