My mother has been at Copley Health Center for about a year and a half. When she first got there, it was for rehab and it was all bad. It has gotten better now that she is on the side of long-term care. There is an aid that works from 10 to 6 who is verbally abusive to my mother in the middle of the night. I have a camera in the room. She told me she’s been there 33 years and not going anywhere. She more or less runs that hall at night. Be careful where you place your people. It just may be a nightmare. I have called the Ombudsman , and the Director of the facility I talk to the Ombudsman the Director usually calls me back , but from Monday to Friday I got no call. Housekeeping is poor very poor. Please check on your people. They have gotten better you just have to stay connected and communicated with them but that night facility Aide that is not good for the facility at all. She thinks that they are her children and she treats them like that and there’s nothing they can do. I’m just glad I had a camera and I saw. You may see her on 19 action news or channel 5. Soon

I have been here for about 7 months now. I must say when I first read some of the reviews I was a bit hesitant on coming here. After a few days of adjustment I found all the staff to be friendly and helpful. The therapy staff are absolutely super and really push you to get where you need to be. All three PT, OT, and SP. There are quite a few who standout and I will sorely miss them when I go.The only drawback is the food at times, not always may favourites being served and no option to choose really. But we push on forward.I think anyone would find this facility totally acceptable for themselves or their loved ones.

I have been working here since mid Sept. 2022. The building is clean, huge rooms, and caring staff. The therapy team is absolutely amazing and perform miracles with patients in getting them home quickly. Many of these bad reviews are from four years ago. New management staff in the building have stepped in and are making huge improvements. These bad reviews are NOT A CLEAR PICTURE of this place NOW!

II was there for a very long time, their therapy team was awesome , dedicated, loving, got me up on my feet dispite my many challenges ?shure the other departments had challenes as most nursing homes do, but dispite the usual nursing home issues, there is a core base of staff who have been working here for a very long time they have been here through all the challenges & changes, I applaud them for their care and dedication, just not enough staff , my only negative complaint is the food the kitchen needs a total revamp ? but dispite the kitchen issues, there is a group of loving staff who just need more support in order to perform their jobs better❤beneath all the issues there's alotta love and warm hearts in this building among the core long time staff

Too bad I can't leave zero stars. The black receptionist was using the N word while on the speaker phone. I have never seen or heard someone talk so unprofessional. It was disgusting. Not to mention how nurse calls go on for over an hour. They yell at the patients and treat people horribly. Do your family a favor and pick a different place.

A dear friend of mine who has had 3 trips to local hospitals, battling infection & sepsis, since Dec. 4th arrived here January 12th. In mid-December, I helped her leave Arbors in Streetsboro against medical advise because she was going to be more sick if she remained there. After two more hospitalizations, she finally agreed to try rehab again but was frightened to because of the Arbors experience. Copley Health Center was one of the few places on her Humana list and the reviews are mortifying but we took a chance and she and I are both SO GLAD we did. Erin the social worker has been amazing to work with, as has the Director of Nursing, Tiffany. Her day nurse, Danielle, (the only one I see regularly) has been very helpful through this whole process. Her aides have had encouraging words for her through some ups and downs. The physcial therapy department has really strengthened her quickly. Joe, the speech & cognition therapist is great! The Activities Director...so kind. Other staff doctors have provided great diagnostic treatment (they uncovered a health problem that two local hospitals missed!) and actually listened to us regarding requests for medication adjustments. Her Medicare Advantage insurer, Humana, decided she should be discharged last Friday, the 27th. Malinda at the facility helped me with filing an appeal...and then another appeal. Insurance companies suck sometimes. The point of this is she really does need another week of therapy ( and her therapists agree) to return home. She lives alone and must climb steps. So though she made progress, steps are still a bit tricky. Anyway, we literally ran away from the Arbors in Streetsboro but my friend is self-paying to stay at Copley Health Center another week whether Humana changes their position or not. Thank you staff of Copley Health Center for taking such great care of my friend.

I worked here for ONE day. The conditions were awful. The rooms were trashed, call lights weren’t being answered for over HOURS. When I would ask about answering that light as I was NEW, they would say “They’re just call light happy”. Do not send your family here, these aides don’t care & neither do the nurses. I had a resident vomit profusely because they were over fed on their feeding tube and the nurse just said “thanks for telling me.”, Instead of checking on said resident. The rooms smell awful, the food is sad - one resident was given a veggie burger that was as hard as a chips ahoy cookie. Do not work here, they didn’t provide me with a TB test before I started or a physical. They are so unprofessional there and the aides will take their 30 minute breaks for over an hour. Please stear CLEAR of this facility.

This place is horrible! Never put your loved one here. My mom is there right now..here are just some of the issues we have had:1. She had an accident one day, she called for nurse and was told it would be one hour before they could clean her up..meanwhile 2 nurses were sitting at nurses station eating McDonalds and on their phones.2. She was put in a wing that they shut down and she was pretty much forgot about.3. They lost her medication prescribed eye drops so she doesnt go blind so since they lost it every nurse just ignored that they weren't giving4. Nurse complained that she has to come back in room to tend to her5 she never saw a doctor for 2 weeks or NP.

My mom was in this facility for 18 years due to having MS, so I've seen the good and bad. In recent years, this place has been understaffed, which may have been a result of Covid. There are staff who will go out of their way to help residents, and then there's staff who don't care about their job and sit at the desk playing on Facebook all day. I've had both positive and negative interactions with workers. There are plenty of workers who I remember over the years who deserve praise for their hard work and caring attitude. Management of this facility needs to get more staff. If they do, there's still hope that this facility can be what it once was. In recent years, before my mom's passing, I'd go visit her, and she'd be in bed all day. She'd be dirty, her teeth obviously hadn't been brushed in days, her hair was greasy, she'd have bed sores and food crumbs all over her. It didn't used to be this way. If this place had more staff to do these necessary tasks to treat the residents with dignity, it would be much better. I'm talking about cleaning the residents, doing their hair, getting them out of bed, involved in activities, and inviting families to events like Thanksgiving (which they used to do). A lot of the unpleasant interaction I've had from workers I think stems from them being overworked and stressed.

The worst of the worst!!!! I have a family member here and I am constantly up here and just asking for the BARE MINIMUM Care , such as answering a call light within 2 hours. This afternoon they FINALLY have staff and they are ALL on their phones at the nurses station and The nurses are up at their cart. You can talk to administrators and they do NOTHING and the staff will tell you that they aren’t going to do anything about the complaint. This place needs shut down ASAP

I worked here for one night and it was awful. I am an RN. The STNAs disappeared. They were disrespectful when I asked for help they wouldn't help. I had two units and was left with a dementia patient that was a one on one and had fallen right before I got there. I had no help whatsoever. The computers didn't work and shut down. The residents were neglected. This is a terrible place to work. Two of the other nurses walked out during the morning switch over. I refused to go back to this place.
