If I could leave a negative review I would. I called and cancelled my service October 2023. They sent me a bill saying I owed $320.23 dated 10/31/23. Then they sent me a final bill saying I owed $76.75 dated the same day. That bill shows a pick up fee of 199.99 plus state and county taxes for a total of $213.49. A dispatch fee of 99.99 plus state and county taxes for a total of $106.74. Then a propane return of 61 gallons for 228.08 plus state and county taxes for a total of -$243.48. End total says I owe them $76.75. First off, when I called to cancel my service, I talked with a gentleman that said he was part of a newly formed office to help with the retention of customers and he tried to get me to stay for a reduced propane fee of $3.499/gal. I was currently paying $3.739/gal. So no great savings there. I told him the company I was switching to was $1.98/gal fixed rate and I wanted to cancel my service. He never informed me of any associated fees with the termination of my services. Just that they would be out within 3 weeks to pick up my tank. I called customer service when I first received that bill and explained that they never picked up my tank. She was adamant that they did on 10/31/23. After some explaining, she said to disregard that bill, I owed them nothing. Fast forward a few months and I receive another bill stating I now owe the 76.75 plus 36 late fee. I called again and explained I'm not paying it because they still haven't picked up my tank. I've since received collection notices from 2 different collection agencies and explained the same things to both. Now here it is August of 2025, they no longer are sending me bills, but have still yet to pick up my tank. I was with Amerigas for over 20 years and never had any issues. I switched because of rising costs. Their customer service department is terrible. Nothing but foreigners, that barely speak english. And ever since covid, you cant speak with anyone associated with your local branch. All you get is the customer service runaround. This is not how you run a business. No wonder your customers are changing suppliers.

Crappy company can’t get help on a propane issue. Their driver showed up gave my wife attitude didn’t deliver any gas and then claim the tank that’s on a solid concrete pad is not level as an engineer. I went out there with a level the tank is level he just had an attitude canceling my account with them. Do not use them.

I needed an inspection to turn into my insurance company and was charged 300$ for the inspection which was 200 and a call out fee of 100. Also I got tacked with a 5$ charge claiming no one was there when my wife was and he talked to me on her phone. This isn’t a fault of the employee but price gouging plain and simple. I understand a 100-150 dollar fee for inspection but 300 is unrealistic.

Called to ask such a simple question, could they fill my propane tank?
Unfortunately their calls are forwarded to a different country.
The guy on the phone thought zip codes were 7 numbers, was not even in ohio. This company sends good American jobs, overseas.

Charing $4 plus a gallon of propane is insane when everywhere else sells it for $2.50 a gallon. Then when I try to buy the tank, no one ever calls me back. Then I pay 100.00 a year for a membership to get propane? For what? Then another 100.00 a year to lease the 150 gallon tank? Wild experience with these rip offs.

After filling our propane tank the driver notice a smell. He found the location but didn’t have the tools necessary to tighten the leaking fitting. An hour later a service tech showed up an got the leak stopped. He kept working on the fitting until it sealed.

Customer service is impossible. Bait and switch billing practices. I'll be changing providers soon.

If I could leave a negative star, I would. This company is a joke.Told them not to refill the tank and that we were done with propane. A month later, they came out and refilled the tank without our knowledge. We found out when they sent the bill to a relative in California when it was supposed to be sent to us in Ohio. Tried to charge for the refill plus late fees. We've called multiple times to resolve the issue, as well as cancel our service. Every time we've called, we kept getting the runaround. Every time they say the issue was fixed, the California relative would be sent another bill. We've even talked to the supervisor and they still never fixed the problem. They currently have the relative attached to the Ohio address and us attached to the California address. After many hours on the phone and with the supervisor, they finally canceled the service and picked up the tank. But now they are trying to bill us for the refill plus late fees, when they should be refunding us for the fuel that was left in the tank.Customer Service associates and supervisors are the most incompetent people I have ever experienced.I'm done giving them chances. I'm going to contact Ohio Department of Consumer Affairs as well as the BBB.

My Issues Continue to go on for 7days . After me trying to contact these people called 4x in 1 day including an email and left phone message. I was told the driver or delivery would be out sometime today on Friday 1/12/24 in Northeast Ohio with less than 20 degrees and high Winds of 60. Looking to fall well below 9 degrees with freezing temperatures.
No Call to tell Me When driver or delivery would be there...So. do I take off a whole day's of work to sit and wait for a delivery that might happen or may Not.
Who.can do that. I. NOT A STAY AT home Mom.
My adult Daughter happen to be there when delivery was made.... at first ask didn't want to leave Propane because I the Parent wasn't there. She is 18....Any Fuel oil supplier would. Instead he filled the Tank and Locked it, so unable to use it.
I Pay My Bill... Locked out of the Tank... I call when I get Home to try and get it unlocked. We have 9 degrees weather coming. No answer.. same response nothing... asked about Saturday if possible? Left messages, nothing knowing we are going into Sunday and then Monday being a Holiday. I knew we were in trouble not getting anyone out to unlock or re hook the propane.
This company is a joke....

If you have to call these people you will be very disappointed. You talk to somebody that speaks very broken English and does not understand English very well. Over 2 hours on the phone telling them my problem and they kept wanting to schedule a delivery and I did not need a delivery and I communicated that with them. So disgusted with this
