The house was very cute and the host was very kind and cooked breakfast in the morning. The reason for only 3 stars is for the cockroaches in the room we stayed in.

The landlord is very rude, he is not the guy that everyone thinks he is. The cottage house has mold in the rooms and mold in the air conditioner. The downstairs toilet leaks and he has refused to fix it. He alos refused to fix the hot water heater and said it was for the tenants to deal with. He is a lazy landlord, he has had his tenants help with things around his house, including putting ceiling tiles in the basement. oh, and the down stairs shower head is zip tied to the shower because he refused to fix it. I do not recommend staying there!!

A friend of mine and I wanted a quick, last minute, spontaneous overnight getaway, and somewhere to take my two teenagers, with something they too would enjoy before school started. So decided on a smaller water park near Roscoe Village (super cool) and was informed of the Canal ride also offered in the immediate area. I pulled up the closest motel/hotels online and decided on Apple Butter Inn, and I am so happy that we did!! It was a lovely little quaint bed-and-breakfast. The outside was full of beautiful foliage, and our room was the upper level of the Carriage House. ❤️It was absolutely perfect!!❤️ The room was full of antiques, a beautiful bathroom, with its own private little deck and a privacy fence and a fish pond full of beautiful Koi fish, which they even left a jar of food on the cute little table & chairs beside it so we could feed them. Curt, the owner, was very friendly and accommodating, made us a beautiful breakfast of homemade waffles, fresh cut fruit, sausage, coffee and OJ. He is quite the cook! The kids loved it, the water park and the canal ride was less than five minutes away, and about a 3 minute walk to Roscoe Village. I really enjoyed the cool little shops, (and so did the kids) we had a delicious dinner at The Warehouse Restaurant. Our room just gave the feel of being a step back in time, of a little country cottage out in the country, very peaceful, beautiful and serene. Everyone of us absolutely loved it, and none of us wanted to leave! I highly recommend it. Thank you Curt! You are a wonderful host, have a BEAUTIFUL place, and I have full intentions of doing this again. And when I do… I want the same exact room! I can’t say enough good things about it! Thank you again!

We only stayed here for one night and really enjoyed our stay. Very quaint and charming B&B (which is also pet friendly). Comfy bed and room was decorated with many different antiques. Host was very nice and had breakfast ready for us the next morning. Also don’t miss out on the cute little shops in Historic Roscoe Village. Would definitely recommend this cozy B&B!

curt was an amazing host with a huge heart and kind soul. the house was very old school yet gorgeous.me and my wife had a huge food truck event in town and. had to saty for 4 days and curt didn't disappoint. him and his pets made us feel so welcomed and like at home. each morning he made us breakfast to start our day and talk to us. he kept the towels and amenities stocked for each day as well as a clean safe environment. our trip wouldn't have been as great if it wasn't for him we were heartbroken at end of trip to hear he has sold it to.a new owner and hope that they will continue his legacy and kind ways. best of wishes and love to you curt and zebo on your retirement you made our life a lot better the little time we had with you.

There were 4 couples on a get-away weekend. We were greeted by 3 barking itching dogs and a cat. There was deffinetly a smell of animals. 2 couples stayed in the coach house which smelled of smoke, and had a leak from the upstairs shower. Breakfast was good. Would not recommend this bed and breakfast.

Omg the website needs updated! The pictures look nothing like this old delapadsted place! We arrived for our reservation for one night. Three dogs barking met us at the door! Curt, who was very nice and tried very hard to be accommodating took us thru a small hallway to a door to the outside which had a knife to hold the door shut! Then we walked outside to a room onto the house that was dark and dingy, a king size bed that looked almost like a mattress on the floor. In the corner was a twin size bed. I did not get as far to see the bathroom when I asked if I was obligated to stay and he asked why. I just said that it wasn’t what I had expected! It was my birthday and on my bucket list was to stay in a bed and breakfast...I have crossed that off my list! Ended up at the Hampton Inn Newcomerstown where we had clean , new, comfortable beds with the best breakfast served the next morning!

Fabulous bed & breakfast. We were in town for a wedding and we found this gem to stay the night. The host was very friendly and the rooms were beautiful. We were served fresh fruit and pecan waffles for breakfast, complete with pure maple syrup. Nice touches made our stay a memorable one!

Apple Butter B&B was my favorite among all the other B&B's we stayed at as we traveled around some historic sites in Ohio. We stayed in the quaint, cozy, Coach House that is located at the base of the small hill from the main Victorian residence. We strolled down into the Village and enjoyed a leasurely meal and a bottle of wine at the "Uncorked Wine and Bar Restaurant" located on the corner of N.Whitewoman St. & Hill St. It was a short walk back up to the Apple Butter foer a good nights sleep. In the morning, we stepped out to the flowered pathway that led up to the garden landacaped house. I remember that hummingbirds fluttered just outside the diningroom window as we ate a delicious home cooked breakfast. We toured all of the rooms in the house before we left. It was like stepping back in time into the magic of a Victorian Romance novel. I would love to return.
