After my lengthy email with pictures, I got a response back just inquiring how much $$$ I had. Wrote another thoughtful response with my budget, and then got ghosted. After reading some of the reviews, I’m glad.

They restored my 70 year old jeep to better then new condition in my opinion. The parts are not original parts but i am aware that Willys is not in business anymore. The changes they made to my jeep to accommodate me for simple service and maintenance is beyond expectation!!... Read More

Specialty Jeeps completed a ground up restoration on my 1941 Willys MB. They did an excellent job that exceeded my expectations. They provided a list of all parts used, what services were performed, did a thorough walk through on the day I picked the Jeep up on all the work they did, as well as recommendations for maintenance and care. The job did take a little longer than expected, but it was worth the wait as the end product was stellar. All work and parts were offered at competitive prices and I am looking forward to future business.

Terrible workmanship! Removed most original parts and replaced with cheap aftermarket components because it was easier. Also 8 month project turned into 36 months. If you plan to use this place, I suggest you look up reviews on the BBB and internet. Others had same problem I had. Wish someone would have suggested this to me before embarking on this horrible restoration project of my 1946 CJ2A. Now that I have my jeep back, no communication about returning my original take off parts. Very dis-satisfied with the whole project!

Unreliable. Untrustworthy. Dishonest. If you are considering Specialty Jeeps for a World War II MB or GPW Jeep rebuild or service, GO ELSEWHERE! Bruce and family of Specialty Jeeps can't be trusted. At best he is an unreliable, incompetent liar who doesn't know WWII Jeeps! The service at Specialty Jeeps is absolutely terrible. It is unreliable, incompetent, untrustworthy, and dishonest. I was promised a 10-week turn-around - on a SIGNED CONTRACT - when I sent my World War II Ford GPW for rebuild. Well, that signed contract meant nothing. After numerous delays of every sort: crew problems, health problems, wrong parts, weather... and he kept on with the excuses...10 MONTHS later, the Jeep was returned. TEN MONTHS! And still incomplete at that! 3 MONTHS to disassemble. 4 MONTHS to prep, prime, and paint. 3 MONTHS to reassemble. And another two months to settle. That's a whole year! I'm not even going to go into the pissant excuse given me once that the ten weeks "was just an estimate!" After seven months I was promised a discount on the remaining labor charges: QUOTE: "For the extra time it has taken I am going to discount the remaining labor when it's done." But when returned after 10 MONTHS, the bill was for the full remaining amount. QUOTE:: "I meant discount it not do away with it. I was thinking knocking $500 off it" was his reply. The hell with what he said (in print, like the contract, I guess) and I guess I have to read his mind. His word means nothing. And, when I finally got it back, there were over 30 problems! From the paint job and missing pieces to inop parts, the job was still incomplete and he refuses to fully settle. Large FARBY Vinyl Applique Markings (not Painted!) Most of the hardware wasn't even painted, QUOTE: "some people like the bolt heads painted, some don't" was his reply! It sucked. I had to repaint the vehicle myself. Numerous original parts were not used nor returned and numerous parts were missing including a gas can bracket, wing nuts, hood block welting, horn, lug nuts (wrong size installed), weather stripping, gaskets, and wrong, ill-fitting seat cushions for a WWII vehicle - with moldy wood bottoms to boot! And several things didn't work, such as the speedometer, fuel gauge, emergency brake, blackout light, speedometer, and glove box lid (didn't latch closed because it was missing parts). And the Transfer Case leaks! A few parts (4) he tried to replace were wrong, too boot! 11 MONTHS and still not complete, still broke! So now I have to spend extra to get it back up to standard and it's still not finished! To sum up: What a huge disappointment! Promised in 10 weeks, delivered in 10 MONTHS, and still incomplete. Lied about progress. Lied about discount for delay. Stole parts. Did not follow instructions. He doesn't know World War II Jeeps - variants, appearances, standards, hardware...he doesn't know what's what. If you want a quality, historically accurate rebuild, save yourself time, money, and frustration, GO ELSEWHERE and DON'T GO TO SPECIALTY JEEPS...or you'll be sorry! Some noted GIGS: Transfer Case leaking Blackout Drive Light inop (not installed) Fuel Gauge inop E-Brake does not set Fire Extinguisher Bracket - shorts electrical system when Fire Extinguisher is installed Axe Mounting Bracket in wrong location - does not securely close over Axe Glove Box Lid loose/does not close Missing Striker Plate and Hardware Tool Box Lid Lock (x1) not close properly (Sticking) Wrong Front Seat Cushions Driver Seat Cushion not attached; no flap Cushion Bottoms (plywood) mildewed Hardware unpainted Bare (unpainted) spots on body Markings wrong (Size, Font, Star) Markings are stickers and bubbled Lug Nuts wrong size (13/16") Rear Seat loose Horn replaced with cheap wrong model substitute Rear View Mirror rusted and paint over sprayed All F-marked Axle Nuts re

They gave up on my Jeep truck at about 80% complete and more than two years, then demanded full payment. Now I have to find a competent restorer to finish the truck. Stay away.
