Just stopped by for visit #2! Restocked my Black and Butter Blend seasonings and picked up a BUNCH of different meats for the freezer. Just a short trip off of Rt 71 in Ohio makes it an awesome place to shop as I'm in a Big Truck. Been here once before and will definitely be back again!

All your grilling or smoker needs can be met here. Several cases are full of select quality cuts including bison, elk, and American wagu. Just stop in. I dare you to leave empty handed.

We are from northwest Ohio. When we are down in Holmes county we always make the trip to Creston to get some meat and seasonings. Absolutely the best butcher shop i have ever been to. Keep up the great work.

Sure some prices are high but it's not shocking considering anywhere you go the prices are higher than they use to be. The young ladies were absolutely wonderful. I drove just over a hour to go and plan on returning again. Excellent quality! It's not a often drive I'll take but every so often absolutely will!

Long time youtube viewer that was in the area and elected to stop and check out the bearded butcher's shop. Also a lover of meat in general and quality smoked meats are my first choice. I got some sage sausage and It is quite good. The perfect mix of fat / lean and a solid but not overwhelming sage flavor. I also picked up some bacon and it was very good. The original seasoning I purchased remain unopened but I will crack it soon. The shop was spotless and the staff was friendly and helpful. The Layout was great. If you are in the area swing by.

I bought one of their dry aged beef T-bone steaks, and after giving it a reverse sear, I can definitely say that I now realize that I have never actually had steak before!!! It was a truly awesome experience!! The filet portion of that T-bone was so generous that it almost qualified it as a porterhouse! Now I can’t wait to try grass-fed and bison steaks!!! Super yummy!!!After reading some other, more negative reviews, I must say that I am mystified! The prices at WFM are eminently comparable with Giant Eagle, etc.! Of course, if you want a dry aged wagyu ribeye, you’re going to have to shell out $100+ anywhere you can find them!!Where do these negative reviewers buy their meat so much cheaper, I wonder? Maybe out of some guy’s car trunk downtown?Besides, this is dry aged meat! You can’t get that at GE, and it makes a vast difference in the flavor and tenderness!Maybe these negative people need to learn how to properly reverse sear their meats instead of ruining them by over or under cooking them (as I used to do)! I heat my steaks in my oven to 112F and sear them on a stovetop grill pan!! Not an optimal process, but the steaks come out better than anything I’ve had in a high end restaurant!!Other negative reviewers complained about much of the meat at WFM being frozen. Personally, I have never had a problem with properly frozen meat. That’s just anti-McDonalds propaganda from Wendy’s! I’ve always found that properly freezing meat actually enhances its tenderness, since the ice crystals tend to break down connective tissue, much like dry aging does. Of course, you can’t just freeze meat and allow it to sit in there until it gets freezer burn!!Besides, WFM does have a very nice little case featuring fresh cuts. You just have to ask if you don’t find it on your own.I will give some credit to those reviewers who were disappointed by the young cashiers seeming bored and impatient, but, hey, they’re kids! I personally found them sufficiently polite and cheerful to deal with, compared with teens at many other establishments.

We live in Creston, and we love Whitefeather Meats. We have shopped here for years. I remember when the place was barely big enough for two people to pass each other inside. The remodel is perfect. It's so great to be able to get fresh, good quality meats so close to home. The staff there are always so nice too. Occasionally, they even have free samples, and they have a savings club, as well as a punch card for their bratwurst. They also sell many other items besides meat. They sometimes have fresh local produce and even some Hartzler's Dairy products. It's not cheap, but the meat quality is worth it. We will always shop at Whitefeather for our meat.

Incredible selection of meat. Waygu, kangaroo, elk, lamb, wild boar. The only thing that could have been better was the service. The girls at the counter seemed put out that I ask them questions. They were bothered that I interrupted their conversation when checking out.
