It might be the law to license your dog, but I guess traffic laws are right out. A minute before this picture of them running a red they illegally passed me on Springfield Street.

We adopted Buddy(called Baby then) in June 2020. Staff truly cared about the dogs and were 100% honest about what we were getting ourselves into. Buddy has truly blossomed in our home, and I can't imagine a day without him.I was leery about getting a Pit, but none of the stereotypes were true. He is, however, leery of adult strangers but loves kids and other dogs.

Clean facility and sweet pups! The staff was very educated and informative when helping me chose my perfect match and the adoption process was a breeze! They also had awesome outdoor “get to know” play yards for adopters and volunteers to use. You can tell the pups are well taken care of ❤️

Every single time I call for animal control to come out for a dog that’s injured or starving. No one ever returned my phone call Noor answers the phone ever. I don’t understand what you guys are even getting paid for.

My wife and I adopted a 2yo. Lab mix. Wonderful but shy dog who is acclimating nicely. The shelter was run more efficiently than most cities and with a price of $20 for adoption, spaying, microchipping, obedience classes, and courtesy, etc. it was a great experience!!

It is unfortunate that our taxpayer dollars are not going to good use at this organization. They would rather dogs be hit by cars or shot by people who have no other choice than to protect their homes, family, and livestock. Something needs to change. It is a much kinder end to humanely euthanize by qualified professionals than for the dogs to suffer, starve, be shot at, or be hit by cars. We have had numerous dogs show up at our farm and the ARC refuses to come pick them up and penalize the owners for their dogs running loose. The ARC's advice to us is to shoot the dogs if they are on our property and are threatening our livestock. It is difficult to shoot a dog that we know is someone's pet, especially when there is an organization (the ARC) who is supposed to pick up stray dogs to keep them off the streets of our community. The ARC is essentially just another non-profit dog rescue (with whom I have no problem) EXCEPT they are using our tax money to accomplish this instead of donations as most rescues do. They should lose their government funding for not following the law stating that it is the dog wardens job to, and I quote from the Ohio Revised Code, "They shall patrol their respective counties and seize and impound on sight all dogs found to be running at large...". I suppose they get around this law by not responding to any calls of dogs running at large so they never actually get to the "on sight" part of the law. This place is a joke and a waste of everyone's taxpayer dollars! Good job skirting the law ARC of Montgomery County! At lease you have that high live release rate you were hoping for.
