I've been coming to this location for years. Because of this, I've gotten to know the workers. I prefer this location over any others. I also like the dropbox option & its close to home.

Vehicle selected online wasn't available at actual location(s). I prepaid for an compact car and ended up with a mini SUV, which was more expensive. Representative at Wilmington Pike, Kettering, Ohio indicated they haven't carried small cars for awhile and stated what's available online never matches what's actually on hand. This was a first in all my years of car rental experience. Inconvienent when on a budget while traveling.

I am not sure who is leaving these "positive" reviews for this Avis location, but the woman (the only woman I've seen so far) who works at the front counter is rude, has a nasty attitude (the same heavyset woman all the other commenters I am sure are complaining about), and quite frankly I will NOT be renting from this location again after coming here at least 2 times (2 times too many). The cars are NOT ready when you arrive so you have to wait around for an hour while they are cleaned. She never has the class of car you reserved available, and she is ALWAYS on her phone taking some personal call in the lobby of the rental location talking about some raggedy family business nonsense that customers DO NOT want or need to hear. I would give this location -5 stars if I could. Never again.

Listen I have no idea why people gave this location bad reviews but me & my wife Stephanie was just in and got a vehicle for a week. They was VERY NICE AND RESPECTFUL. Gave us a free upgrade because our requested vehicle wasn't available. It was clean smelled good like a new vehicle should was on full tank. No problem at all. When returning it we was greeted and again nothing but respect. Our experience here was great. Our experience at the airport in the past was horrible. I 100% recommend this location for your rental car needs. Thanks for making it easy and we will be back there to do more business as needed.

We rented a Chrysler Pacifica 2023 model from Avis and the AC kept blowing warm air for about 50% of the drive which made it very uncomfortable! When we dropped it off and reported the issue, Benita at the Kettering location was so apologetic and understanding. She took our number and test drove the car, then called the manager to report it and was able to get us a significant discount. Although our experience with the car was not great, Benita's friendly and professionalism, will bring us back to this location! Happy to recommend Avis in Kettering and Benita for her excellent service!

The staff was very rude. I booked using a corporate discount and asked me to show the proof. Even after showing the proof, she was investigating more and for some reason she refused to give me a car. Never met such staff in my life.

Car had lingering smoke smell, front windows were tinted so dark that I had to roll the windows down to see at night, winshield wipers only smeared the water, and I was given the car with a low tire pressure gage indicator on.

Liked the vehicle so much considering it for purchase. I appreciated this vehicle being available for my selected choice. I also appreciated a rep taking my call to confirm the resy details. While not the nearest avis that had this specific vehicle it wasn't too terribly out of the way.

The good and the bad..So this is my first time renting from avis and I should have seen the red flags. Donna made me terrified in the beginning she kept expressing no sand in the rental which was impossible because I was going on vacation to myrtle beach. She expressed if its sand in the vehicle it would be a $450 charge and if I think it would take them more than 20 minutes to clean out the rental (that i will be having for a week with 6 people )then I need to clean it or it would be a $450 charge.The day of my return I woke up 3 hours early at 7 am cleaned the rental no lie for 3 hours because I didn't want to be charge $450 I was so scared to return it even tho I knew it was in almost perfect condition..but because my kids had sand on their shoes which got a little in the carpet that I could still see i didn't want to return it. But the guy that was their made me feel so at ease and said I had nothing to worry about and that I went over and beyond with the clean that I would get my deposit back and not be charged 450. But omg.. that experience was so stressful. I never had to vacuum or wash a rental before returning it.I have never experienced that amount stress with enterprise rentals. Oh BTW my vehicle had a maintenance required warning ⚠️ on before I even drove from avis lot

I don't know if I've dealt with a more rude and disrespectful staff in all my professional life. When a car that I had booked through the website was listed as available, and upon coming to the collect that car I was told that it was not available. For me, that's frustrating but understandable. However, when the General Manager tells me that I can either accept a different car from a cheaper section without a cost reduction or leave, that is unacceptable. Enterprise and Hertz may be in the neighborhood of 10% more expensive, but their staffs are, at a minimum, a pleasure to deal with.
