The international disrespect I keep getting from these people is disgusting. I’ve asked for a WEEK for a PAYMENT INVOICE! Why am I constantly being sent medical history summaries? That is NOT what I’m asking for! It’s truly disgusting to even read those medical summaries and you guys try to put as much information as you can to save face! THERE IS NO REASON MY PET WASNT VACCINATED 4 DAYS EARLIER when I asked! But it’s ok ILL NEVER GO TO BANFIELD AGAIN! The WELLNESS PLAN IS PREDATORY! You will pay $30 a month but if you occur $300 worth of charges in 3 months you will still owe them $210 before they will cancel your Wellness Plan. So beware. They say ALOT IS INCLUDED BUT if you only play for 6 months of the plan( $180) and you’ve gotten exams, vaccines, flea medicine, neutering etc. YOU WILL BE CHARGED AN UPFRONT TOTAL AMOUNT BEFOEE TOU CAN CANCEL! Or your pay that $30 for X AMOUNT OF MONTHS UNTIL THE TOTAL BALANCE IS PAID OFF! So yes you’re not paying upfront cost. But you can lost that dog and they will still force you Pay for those services! RUN DO NOT GO HERE THEY HAVE NO INTEGRITY! They will ask you to come back 4 days later just to charge you additional exam fees over just doing the vaccines at your first appointment. They will save face. Not give any answers and dance around your issues. Do not go here. They are disgusting people who shouldn’t touch your dog for any reason!

After nearly 10 years of paying a monthly fee for a wellness plan I was told if I wanted to cancel my plan (after having to put my dog down) I would owe them in excess of $400. So basically they tell you all these benefits and take your money for years on years and when the time comes for them to show compassion and care it is a huge F-U.I will add that this review does not reflect on the care team at this location as they were always great, but they happen to work for a larger conglomerate who only cares about $$$$.Go to someone local who you can trust with your pet and not prey on your love for your animals. I will never contribute any money to this company for any pet care ever again.

My dog has went here since he was a puppy because he really only needed updated shots and exams. I took him to banfield for a checkup and he ended up getting diagnosed with diabetes, and I should have known they weren’t equipped with the knowledge to help me or my dog but I continued to take him. In three months he’s lost 7 pounds, they can’t tell me why and they blatantly told me they didn’t care about that. They gave him two freestyle libres to track his sugars the DOCTOR could not figure out how to use it so basically he had them on for no reason. I finally was fed up with the lack in communication and lack of knowledge about diabetes so I took him to a new vet (shoulda done that in the first place I know). When I took him there that have told me that Banfield was giving me cat insulin because it is the most expensive on the market, I was paying 150 for a bottle of insulin that was barley hanging my dog on by a thread. Now I pay 25$ even for ACTUAL DOG insulin and he’s already gained weight and it’s been less than a week. DO NOT bring your dog to banfield if they have an actual medical problem, all they want is your money.

Awful awful place. I travel for work, and brought my dog in for vaccinations. Everything was okay until the first doctor came in. Didn't seem confident around animals and ended up telling me he wanted to get my dog on diarrhea medication first then come back for vaccinations. I just expressed that I'd rather try pumpkin purée or something first before drugs. The staff got upset and left, the 2nd terrible doctor came in and asked for his vaccinations records. Then she said they were going to go ahead with the shots because I swear she said this word word " I don't care about the well being of my dog." I was shocked and repeated back to her what she said just to make sure I heard her right. I did, they don't care about your dog they want your money. If I could give this lower than 1 star I would. Don't go here, whole staff needs to be fired

I had a one year health plan for my dog, after the 1 year was up the automatic payments stopped coming out of my account (as they should) then they call me harassing me saying I owe them money for the 2 months after my plan stopped because someone took it upon themselves to sign me back up for another full year then I contacted customer service and they proceeded to tell me I owed until I gave them exact dates of when the contract started and ended. Then all the sudden I owe nothing to the hospital and they will cancel it right away. Watch out. They are scammers … also filed a report with BBB. I would not recommend this place. It’s overpriced as well.

My dog jaxx at the present time, I didn't have any money to fix an ear that was infected and Banfield helping me find funding to get the help I need to get jaxx ear fix. I appreciate them so very much thank you for the wonderful lady that help me so much her name is Pam at the Dayton Mall Banfield and I appreciate her so much thank you once again Banfield

I brought my dog in for an assessment of a mass on his ear, about the size of a pea. He was otherwise normal and his ears were normal. I picked him up, he had a hematoma almost the size of a baby's fist. They told me he had a hematoma. No kidding! Not what I brought him in with, but it happened while he was there. Long story short, took him to another Banfield to have the original mass assessed---which they could not do because of the hematoma being so large. Almost 4 weeks later and he'll have permanent scarring, because it's starting already. Reached out to corporate and sent pictures, but they referred me to this location for the manager to reach out to me (which she did, I declined to return the call). The last thing I want to do is to talk to the staff that is responsible for this injury. What were they going to tell me that I didn't already know? Any platitudes are not going to make this injury go away.I was a Banfield customer for a VERY long time, but I just cancelled one of my dog's policies today and I will be cancelling the other's when it's closer to the renewal date and use another Banfield until that time. So disappointed this is how corporate handled this issue. Guess I'll vote with my dollars. Some of the staff truly care, but this is truly carelessness one someone's part and the last straw with this location.

The staff are always friendly and professional. They recognize my dogs on sight and always take great care of them. I have a fear-aggressive dog and they are very patient with him. I really feel as if they are taking care of my dogs and treat them like their own. I've been using this Banfield location for several years and take one of my dogs in monthly.

The level of care at this company has been rapidly declining. They have turned into a "jiffy lube" esk style vet ie get them in and out as fast as possible in order to make as much as possible with little to no actual care put into each pet. In fact most visits i haven't even spoken with a vet as they were "unavailable" so instead i spoke with a vet tech who responded with "I'm not sure" or "i don't know" to most of my questions and then left important details out only for me to discover them later while going over paperwork! They also do not listen to the owner and put pets in positions that will stress them out and make them act in aggressive ways. I used to really like this company when we were still out in Chicago and recommend it to many. However, ever since moving to Ohio my pets and I have had nothing but awful and traumatizing experiences. This last visit was my last straw. I will be canceling my pet care pet insurance plan and moving to a place that truly cares for my pets well being.

I was a little reluctant to take my dogs to Banfield because it was in a Petsmart and seemed a little too "corporate". After visiting, I was presently surprised. The staff was very knowledgeable and caring. They have great wellness plans available and always call me the day after any procedure to check up. I have found that the value and care surpasses the locally owned and operated clinic that I used in the past. I highly recommend Banfield!

My dog was in crisis. They were rude and told me there was nothing wrong with her. Took her to another vet and they saved her life. I will never be back.
