Had my Chevy Tahoe that stopped moving. They rebuilt my transmission and it only took 10 days and it shifts better than it ever has. Great service and they didn’t try to sell me a bunch of stuff I didn’t need. I recommend brownies to everyone I meet now.

Tom was very helpful and took good care of my car. I would recommend this place to anyone with transmission issues!

Absolutely the worst decision I’ve ever made. Took them six weeks to replace the transmission on my Subaru, and any time I called or showed up in person for an update the manager was conveniently not around. Also got my car back with a loose lugnut and grease stains in the seats. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE

I had my truck transmission completley rebuilt the cost was3010.00 I got one yr or 12000 mi warranty I was out of warranty almost 2 yrs
but Only got 8000 mi out of it.8000 miles on it... and I was told the parts are heavy duty parts. I got it back bout 3 months later and I got to put 8000 mi on it.It started slipping He charged me another complete rebuild 2010 rebuild.all the parts wasn't bad maybe a part.2010 plus 750 to remove it plus tax I'm back at 3010.What it cost me 8000 mi before. He said I won't charge you The 750 to remove it.Out my my pocket was 2150 u add the 750 plus the tax your at the original 3010.So that tells me all the parts were were bad again no way maybe a part heavy duty parts it sold me to start with I'm thinking win or loose but going to court speak my to piece to the Judge.I will use Brownies again on N.Dixie.I believe in paying a person for there work but not for not for the misconception that came out of his mouth.

Rebuilt our transmission once lasted 20k miles
Then had to completely rebuild it again. I do. Not recommend this company. They are cheap but that’s because they know you’ll bring it back to them so they can rebuild it again once their bs warranty is up. 12000 miles 1 year
Save the money get the dealership to do it.

Most reputable shops would offer a warranty on their work. It’s actually required by law in the service industry to Warranty your labor for a minimum of a year, which is all you are offering.. Well, some others may believe that you use quality parts. The excuse I was given was that you can’t control the quality of the parts that you get from the manufacture.

It might take a little long to get your vehicle back. But it is well worth it!!! I took my truck back because I had a link. It had nothing to do with what they did, but they fixed it for me and only I had to pay for parts only. They did not charge me for labor.. I give them five stars easy.

We are so unhappy with Brownies IT! They have had our truck over 2 months since before Christmas. We have 2 full time jobs and 4 kids we're trying to juggle around using one car. When the told us it was 7k to fix we said well can you just put it back together we'll shop around we then were told it may not drive after taking the transmission apart so we felt stuck and had to stay with them: this has been a complete nightmare with little to no help from Brownies It, nor do they care this is hurting our family. We were told oh the transmission rebuild will be done in 2 weeks, never get a call so we call them. then another week, then another week, oh it will be done Friday. So on and so on!! There has been soooo many excuses we can't keep up with. Now we've been told they were waiting on a part we have called almost every day no part in. Then to top it all off they suggest we start calling Chevy to try and get the part because they can. This is horrible business! We are paying you so much money that we really don't have to pay! We are spending our whole lunch hours, even into our work day on the phone with Chevy dealerships, or waiting for them to call us back. We are paying Brownies IT 7k. This is absolutely the worst service we have ever had! Our truck is still not fixed, nobody seems to care; no one wants to offer assistance, no price adjustments because it's been 2 months of horrible service. We will NEVER ever use Brownies IT again or recommend them.

Had a very good relationship with them until the end. First the good. I brought my Car in because of the Transmission. I had an aftermarket Car Warranty. Tom said he couldn’t do the tear apart diagnostic in less I gave him permission, just in case the Warranty Company didn’t pay. Well lo and behold. They tried to say it was a pre existing condition and wouldn’t pay but $60 on an $700+ tear down. Tom was gracious and allowed me to pay over time. This was in November of 2023. Being disabled and my Wife being disabled it took us until April to pay it off. Thank you for that Tom. After we paid that portion I told him to proceed with the rebuild he said it needed. We agreed that I would be making Payments towards the rebuild, he graciously agreed. Shortly thereafter I sued the Warranty Company for breach of Contract. They called two Days before the Court Daye; apologized and offered to settle which we did. Called Tom and told him I had settled with the Warranty Company and was able to pay him upon completion of the Work. Checked in with him Weekly to see progress. He told me he had other Cars a couple of times. I thought this was fair , since he had been patient with me. Finally , at the beginning of August that the the Transmission was fixed. Now for the bad part.
At that time he told me I needed brake Pads and Rotors. I informed him that couldn’t have possibly been the case , as having had experience working on Brakes for 30 Years on various makes and Models. On that particular Car , I had replaced the Brake lines all the way around to the abs Module and bled the lines completely. I told him that i wanted him to complete the work I’d contracted for and I would be in to pay him the balance of the total work $3100.
When I began driving the Car after getting it back, I noticed 1. When I drove the Car in reverse the Brakes would lock up . 2. It felt like the Transmission was still doing the same thing. Called them, had the Car towed back to them and told them what was going on. Made it clear that I didn’t want them to touch the Wheels or Brake System. Told three different Workers including Tom. Told them I had pads and Rotors that I was going to use the next time I needed them, which I knew I didn’t. Called the next Day to check on what they found, Tom told me he had other Cars reiterated my concerns and not to touch Brakes he very nastily said let him be the Expert. Didn’t argue, called the Home Office expressed my concerns and dissatisfaction, Thursday two weeks ago , no return calls. Although to be fair Ms. Lisa listened. Called Tom the next Day and he was Professional and said he would test Drive the Car.and let me know. The Following Day he called me and informed me that a Caliber Bolt was missing I asked him if he replaced it . He said they found a Bolt to put in. I was livid. In order to remove a Caliber Bolt you would have to heat it and beat it. I told him I would be sending a Tow Company to get my Car. Later he called and asked when they were coming, even though I had told them when to expect the tow. He than changed his Sory telling me that the Caliber Bolt was loose and pressing into the Brake Pad . That was story number two. I’d driven the 9 Months prior to the Transmission issue. I’m going to end this review now by saying they removed that Bolt.

I try to give reviews either good or bad to help people make good decisions when considering a large expense. Tom took in my truck and knew I was in a bad spot being out of town. They got my truck in and out within a week with a total transmission rebuild. The total cost was definitely expensive, but it’s the going market. Parts and labor aren’t as cheap as they used to be, and people need to really consider that. I notice after the repair that I do have an exhaust leak now. Not sure if they had to remove my exhaust manifold to drop the transmission, but I plan on bringing back to Tom when he is back from vacation. I trust that they will be honest with me and fix the issue if they caused it (I will update once this happens). I think the transmission could have some slight issues with it still, but I trust that they will make it right. I appreciate all the hard work and the respect for my time. Thanks Brownies!

Fo not EVER take your car here. They will lie and keep your car forever and not care. I was told a week and it's over a month and they aren't even fixing what I took it there for. Say they will call you and don't. Typical shiesty mechanics

I want to give a shout out to Brownies staff but specifically Tom he accessed my car and gave me his honest opinion about my car which was the cost was the amount of a another used car I explained to him that I was still paying on my car and would contact the dealer to see what could happen when contact the dealer they immediately went into the GPS and located the car which still contained my personal belongings and they did not contact me, Tom called me and shared they were coming to get my car I explained I needed the items inside, Tom told me to get there now, upon arrival Tom explained he told the dealership he would not release the keys until the person who dropped the car off came which stopped a potential bad situation and I was able to get my belongings from the car with no friction, understand he did not have to get involved but he protected the little man (me) we need people like this in this world I would trust my car to Brownies off integrity alone!!! Go To Brownies ask for Tom they get 5 stars from me!!! Thank You Tom!!
