Cash and check (yes check) only. No credit cards. Otherwise besides a very small menu everything is really, really good.

We came here after a bad time at the doctor and discovered that both the tea and pastry offered are very, very good. The barista even asked me what I meant by "chai latte." When I told him I didn't care if it had syrup in it but what I really like is the real chai, only a little less sweet than most people drink it (I have relatives from India) that is what he made, real chai, a little less sweet than usual. This is really not the same thing as "chai latte" at all. It also takes longer to make, at least for someone with a professional barista set up going, but he did it and I really appreciated that effort.Unfortunately, I forget what tea my wife ordered, but it was also very good, a specific type of black tea with a very distinctive malty flavor. We also got a little tart to share and the pastry on that was even really good. It was as good as many things that pass for cookies and that is a long way off from what often passes for pastry, (which is really more like a technically edible container.)I bet the coffee is also good, but we didn't try that, yet. Definitely do go here for a good cafe experience, particularly if you like tea that is interesting or want to know why Paul Hollywood acts like he is expecting to enjoy eating the pastry under people's tarts. Seriously. I've had good tart pastry before this, but this is really good, and "normal" isn't.

Cute little cafe in Oakwood. Note they only accept cash or Venmo. The food is delicious and fresh. I normally don't like scones but theirs are excellent. Service was very slightly slow but they have a small staff and were busy. Everyone was friendly. My friend and I visited for afternoon tea and the price was extremely reasonable for all the food they serve you.Parking: There are parking spots along the street that are free.

Went for the afternoon tea. Everything was delicious, the sandwiches, cake, eclair, and the highlight was the scones. The price makes it more than an occasional treat and I'll definitely be back for more than the tea.

This is the funnest tea experience I have ever had. The food, the atmosphere, was so welcoming, staff were excellent. The atmosphere was so cozy. It is the ultimate "Let’s have a Tea Party." Experience for sure. It's a must do, put on your bucket list place to go.

The short version: this place is phenomenal. Good prices, great service, fresh food, wonderful atmosphereThe long version: Literally what america started as: a melting pot of cultures and different languages being spoken inside. The owner is a VERY energetic British transplant from Liverpool and super accommodating (it is a cash only cafe so make sure you bring cash) who runs the establishment with his family. After raving about the owner and atmosphere I have to move onto the food and drink. My cappuccino was the perfect temperature for sipping and not ridiculously sweet like at those disgusting chain places that just load their drinks up with sugar. My chicken salad sandwich was the best I've had in years (like mom used to make) and all of the ingredients in it tasted fresh like they were prepped this morning. The sandwich wasn't overloaded with mayo either so no messy, squishy bites

I'd have thought the coffee shop in the nice neighborhood could make a decent latte but the milk was boiling hot. AwfulOh and 5.50 for awful quality too.

An adorable little place with a wonderful variety of teas and snacks. The British owners are delightful and lend credibility to the European aspect of the shop. My only complaint is the location is very cramped. I've never been to an actual European tea shop but Americans like our space. That's the only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars. Go visit, you'll enjoy it.Parking: Some parking in front, plenty of parking in the rear

Mike is always ready to help and the atmosphere of Central Perc, a Shops of Oakwood favorite, is very relaxing. My daughter and I are here every week for an after school treat. She likes the hot chocolate or a French Soda, and I have coffee... the mug is always warmed up for you. TRY THE MANCHESTER TART!

So satisfying, couldn’t take a picture of the scone because I ate it up so fast ? first time trying with the cream and jam that isn’t too sweet but just right❤️ my ham, tomato and cheese croissant is delicious. I would come back and explore the menu for lunch. Such a great mom and pop place.
