Went in at 7 pm on Saturday June 15 2024. Employees treat customers with disrespect. Lady was cussing out a customer throwing multiple F words. 2 days ago I went in myself to get items on June 13. The employee which was a lady. Short black girl was rushing me out of the store because they wanted to close at 5-6 pm. Worst customer service. Would like the District Manages Number

Once again closed during the daytime. Four times this month. Today a handwritten sign says not open until noon (ish).
As one lady in our apartment building says...yeah we treat that place like it's been permanently closed for two years.

This is the worst store ever...they see you waiting for them to open then put a closed sign up..go back a few days later after they are supposed to be open and still closed... when they are open u can't find anything you came in for stand in line for ever.. not to mention the trash around the building

I was recently fired from this job because I would not let rude and ill mannered customers disrespect me. This place and management and hr are disgusting. District manager Mike bode made us open up the store after someone came in threatening to shoot everyone not caring for safety of staff and customers. Mike and hr do not care about us because we are in the “hood” they want us to possibly lay our lives down but we cannot say anything or do anything with rude customers mike and hr wants us to take the disrespect and abuse happily and say thank you. Please do not go here or spend money here for your safety

The exterior appearance of this particular location on Salem & Grand is an absolute disgrace. The amount of litter generated by their careless customers and never picked up by the workers at Dollar General is astounding. Huge amounts of bottles, cans, food wrappers and other detritus litter the corner and have made the store an absolute eyesore in Dayton. Their metal fence surrounding the lot has been broken and busted for years with large sections simply missing or barely attached to the rest. The store needs rehabbed, landscaped and cleaned up!

The store at 445 Salem is now selling rancid items and when a customer returns a food item that has gone bad the management makes NO concessions to make it right! Will never shop at this dollar general again...like anyone cares.
