I used to love Equitas. The service was amazing. However now... It's just not. Multiple appointments canceled after arriving. My Chart keeps sending me from Dayton to Columbus. My afternoon appointment requests become early morning. Suddenly I can't get my medication because My Chart sent it to the wrong Dr... Who isn't my Dr .. Now the pharmacy can't refill it because they messed up. Let's be clear the pharmacy cannot refill my life saving Insulin because they messed up the billing and used my insurance for insulin they never gave me. Hope I don't die?

This has to be the best health care team in Ohio. They were respectful of my wishes, and treated me kindly. As a member of the LGBTQ community, they went above and beyond to assist me. Love them so much.

If anyone needs to get HIV testing done, do it here! It is free and just going once gets you in contact with providers who are OPEN ABOUT ALL QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS. I left in happy tears just by the experience. Usually I opt for an oral exam from the pharmacy. I'm by myself and being anxious alone for that kind of result sucks. A nurse stayed with me the whole time and talked to me about Prep and other options. He even had someone come in to talk about financials. There is still a huge stigma unfortunately and I've witnessed it firsthand, at other locations. Here I felt safe, welcome, and there was no judgement. Instead of, "What do you want me to do?" It was "How can we help?" With any result, they are there to answer all questions and if they don't know, they don't hesitate to ask colleagues. I was a first time patient so there was paperwork involved but nothing too extensive. Oh and did I mention NO PROOF OF INSURANCE IS NEEDED FOR THE FREE BLOOD TEST! There isn't a catch. Next time you're at MJs or Masque, look for them. They have screenings outside the bars! Take advantage of this ya'll. They'll literally save your mentality and maybe even your life.

They've abandoned trans people, and let down low income people consistently. My care was bad enough when my appointments stretched on past 2 hours, waiting for a nurse practitioner who had to Google what my hormone dose should be (every single time) and who couldn't use the computer and thus frequently lost what she would write down from our appointments. Now though? I can't even get an appointment with a nurse practitioner, let alone a real doctor. When I called to schedule the receptionist first tried to send me all the way to Columbus (impossible for me because of time, transportation, and my insurance), then lied and told me I'd have to wait until July if I scheduled in Dayton, then finally got me an April appointment with a random nurse. I show up for the appointment, she doesn't even know how to properly take my blood pressure, causing a sky high reading which she threatens to send me to the emergency room for. This is because she used the wrong size arm cuff on me, a very basic thing she should know about! Now I'm having to play phone tag for days because they won't get me my hormones because their nurse doesn't know what she's doing. Now I have to do more work, take more time, deal with more anxiety, and possibly have to pay for a whole other appointment! It's honestly maddening that this place advertises itself as the pinnacle of queer and trans care, when they don't even have enough doctors on staff, and they really don't have to care if they treat you wrong.

If you can go ANYWHERE ELSE, Do So! This Pharmacy and the clinic it's attached to are HORRIBLY Incompetent! The Nurse Practitioner is nice but she All-Too-Often forgets Important things discussed in previous visits. I have neuropathy in my right leg that inflames into such horrid agonizing pain that if the Gabapentin I'm prescribed for it is allowed to leave my system, I'm left in Literal Screaming Agony. This has happened twice in under a month. The first time because the nurse apparently forgot to give me refills. the second time is because the pharmacy didn't tell me everything they were shipping to me so I didn't know until I opened the box tonight (a Friday Night!) that it wasn't shipped to me! So, now I'm looking at an Entire Weekend of this pain. the sad thing is, I'm trapped with this organization because as far as I know Ohio has ZERO other options for HIV Services. After all the Numerous slights, gaffs, and mistakes On THEIR Part, I would LOVE to go elsewhere for my medical needs... But I can't. This is the ONLY place. So, yeah: If you live in Ohio and have HIV you're most likely stuck with Equitas, but trust me here: Do NOT Use The Pharmacy At the Dayton Location! Try To Avoid The Clinic Itself As Well! Demand Better Than The Pitiful "Service" They Offer!
