I used to love this Goodwill until they started pricing their items entirely too high. It's nearly impossible to find a deal here anymore. Save your time and money and go treasure hunting elsewhere unless you're shopping for the standard priced or half priced clothing.

I recently visited the Goodwill located at 6868 Miller Ln, Dayton, OH 45414, and I must say, I was pleasantly surprised by my experience. As someone who typically prefers thrift stores over Goodwill, I approached this visit with low expectations, but I found a diverse selection of items that caught my eye. The store boasted an impressive array of clothing, including skirts, shorts, outerwear, and a variety of accessories like purses, scarves, hats, and jewelry. Additionally, I was delighted to see a range of household items, from mugs to stuffed animals, blankets and seasonal decorations.
One aspect that stood out was the cleanliness and organization of the store. It felt well-maintained, making it easy to navigate through the aisles. The staff members were friendly and knowledgeable, which added to the positive atmosphere. However, I did find it slightly unprofessional to overhear staff discussing another team member openly; it created a bit of a distraction.
Checkout was a breeze, thanks to Miss Vivian, who was quick and efficient. I appreciated her mentioning it was senior day, although it was a bit awkward since I did not qualify for the discount. I was also surprised to learn about their return policy, which offers store credit within seven days of purchase, but no cash refunds.
Overall, while I didn't find a plethora of items that would compel me to return immediately, I would recommend this Goodwill location for its variety and cleanliness. It’s worth checking out if you’re in the area and looking for unique finds.

Heard staff using profane language while attempting a last minute purchase. Same staff member misrang my order. Manager corrected him but he still misconstrued her directions and only fixed the price on one item. For the sake of my time, I asked him to remove an item and make my purchase but never again. Rude crazy staff, nonchalant management and ridiculous prices considering you can get new items for these prices. Goodwill is a scam organization at this point, it’s lost its way

For those who complain about Goodwill being "Greedy", I might suggest that you do some research into what their mission is. The money isn't lining someone's pockets (Not that there's anything wrong with that. It's called capitalism and it's responsible for everything you eat, touch and own as well as every important innovation from the last 100 plus years). It's used to help people who have struggled with a variety of problems, from addiction to domestic violence, to gain employment, skills and dignity.
As for this store, it's clean and has solid variety. Service can vary, as the employees come and go, but if you wanna hunt for some bargains (they do exist here) and help people in the process, this and other Goodwill stores are the place to go.

May 2024 still overpriced as hell! Your typical greed will. Things are definitely getting out of hand with the free donations they get and then jack the prices up to online auction site prices!
Well organized and clean but over priced! When you get stuff for free and mark it up to EBay or antique store prices it's ridiculous! Selling Dollar Tree items that are used for more than what they were new at the Dollar Tree is also insane! I know Goodwill is how to make huge profits off free items but how about put reasonable prices on stuff. How about also before selling broken items how about test them! Tired of it. I don't get how some of the Goodwills still offer the 50 percent off. None in the Miami Valley do any longer. Pure greed! Just because it's old doesn't mean it's worth a lot of money!

Vivian was very nice and helpful at checkout so i wanted to say thank you!. Only reason 4 stars is because I feel like prices are getting really high for used, donated things. But that's at all goodwills not just this one.

Absolutely insane prices. They think they’re a fancy boutique and price used things they got for free for more than you could find them brand new. Furniture is the same price as if you just went online and ordered from a regular furniture store brand new. They put special prices on clothes they think are fancy and it’s literally just stuff you could find at TJMaxx for a fraction of what this Goodwill prices it at. For the amount of free stuff that gets donated to Goodwill and the amount of stuff that ends up in landfills there’s no reason they need to price gauge like this. It’s a lazy way to meet ridiculous sales quotas instead of putting out more affordable items, they put out less but jack the prices way up.

High prices. Don't waste your time looking for name brand items in the regular area, they have been placed along the wall with a $19.99 price tag on each, such as North Face, Columbia, Under Armor.

If they are going to make all cds and DVD final sales with no returns they should test them before they make a 100% profit. I bought a music cd walked out to my cay and it didn't work. So I went back in and the worker Recognize me from just leaving and said what's wrong. I told her the CD does not work. She had to get somebody else to come up and tell me that there is no returns on any audio. Don't buy from Crooks.

Solid Goodwill with very nice and helpful staff! Cathy and Twyla helped me at the register and were very friendly, knowledgeable, and welcoming. This location is cleaner and more organized than most. Huge Halloween section, at the moment, so I'm not sure what's typically offered in that space in other times of the year. Oddly, there was a lot of new items, priced accordingly, more like a Dollar Store. I was able to find a nice used Thermos, water bottle and two pieces of vintage glass that I liked.

Higher prices than goodwills close by and employees are rude.

A friendly staff but the store doesn't seem to have a change in variety very often. Usually when I get there the things I like have a sold ticket on them. I guess I'm late!

Good place to get that little something you wanted, or needed.
