The homedepot in Dayton ohio on salem Ave is the worse store ever compared to the other home depots they get rid of good employees to have a whole circus now but that's alright there best employee is at Lowe's now they were blessed to gain such a sweet person..

The store is nice. Everything you could want they have. With that said never have them install carpet & blinds for you. They go through a 3rd party to have it done and it's just a horrible experience. I've been trying for 2 months now to get my blinds completed and still not complete. When you try and reach out to the 3rd party yourself all you ever get is a voicemail, no matter what time you call. Horrible experience. Again employees in the store are very helpful so I don't want to say they are not, just stay away from having them install products.

The Trotwood, Ohio store is awful. The garden center is a mess. Birds are allowed to roost inside which is disgusting. Products are covered in their feces. I have been to other stores and this is not an issue. The plants are not maintained well at all. Many items I have found to be very dry, some dead. I am an experienced gardener so I know dry and dead. I did stop in the store in the spring of 2024 and heard a customer ask about a particular plant. The employee responded that she had no idea how to answer the question, she just worked there. Even though the Trotwood store is closer for me I travel to the Piqua, Ohio store. Very clean, organized and the employees are helpful. Again, not the case in Trotwood.

Good people working hard for their customers. I visit in store and only buy online when I have to.

Personally I've always had better service here than at Lowe's store not quite as well stocked as Lowe's but the service makes up for it it's generally the fault of management when service is bad due to short staffing as it saves money paying employees

Never order anything online and pick up at this store. They can't seem to find the item when we go to pick it up. They also never tespond to curbside pickup

Find everything I need when I go...just wished the Garden selection was comparable to Lowe's.

Regina was great at the return desk. However, when she tried getting the manager to come to the return desk, he was too busy grilling hamburgers & hot dogs in the back. I believe his name was Reggie.

Waited over 30 minutes for someone to get an unassembled wheelbarrow down off a high shelf. No one came so my boyfriend got their rolling ladder and got it himself. I paid for some flowers and six bags of dirt and while I was waiting for my bf to come to the register with the wheelbarrow, an employee came and grabbed the cart with the dirt and restocked it!! The other cashier chased him down and told him I had just paid for it. He just took it without asking if it was mine! I didn't see him take it because we were paying for the wheelbarrow.

Home Depot is Home Depot. They’re all basically the same. Surprisingly this one is clean and well maintained inside and out, it’s easy to forget what part of town it’s in.
