how is it allow to hang up on someone when and during asking questions

Just called to check a transcript. One of the gentlemen at the location in Dayton hung up on me after trying to argue with me because I couldn't clearly describe to him what the issue was and I asked if I could speak with someone else to help and he hung up. That office is only 40 minutes from my house.. ;)
