Such an improvement over the last MyEyeDoc location I’d been to. Front desk ladies were so friendly and helpful. The eye doctor was very personable and explained things well. He listened to my concerns about an issue I’ve been having and talked about possible reasons and solutions. No one tried to upsell me or force me to buy upgrades I didn’t want. The woman who helped with my new frames was wonderful and made great recommendations. Definitely recommend! I live right up the street, now, so I’ll definitely be going to this location from now on.

I had a terrible experience at MyEyeDr. I spent about $350 out of pocket on a pair of glasses that didn’t correct my vision properly. I struggled with poor vision until I just got another pair of glasses from another clinic. Here is my experience.
I had an eye exam with MyEyeDr. on Oct 22, 2024 because my near vision had gotten worse. I specifically told the eye doctor about my near vision issue. But he seemed uninterest and pushed me to get single-vision glasses. I trusted him and paid for $239 out-of-pocket for those glasses. After waiting for two weeks, I picked up the glasses and immediately realized that they didn't improve my near vision. After struggling for two weeks, I called MyEyeDr and request bi-focal glasses. They told me that they would call me back. After waiting for a few days, nobody called me and I called again. The staff was very argumentative and blamed me for not being clear the first time. After calming her down, I went there and paid another $125 for the bi-focal glasses. Another two weeks until I got those glasses. Again, I couldn’t see clearly, especially when reading.
I suspected that the glasses were made incorrectly. So I went to a different MyEyeDr store in Oakwood and let them check the prescription of the glasses. They claimed that the glasses were made correctly. So I made another appointment for eye exam at that store. When I went to that store on that day, it was the same eye doctor. Again, he didn't pay any interest in my complaint or try to figure out why I couldn't see clearly. What’s ridiculous was that he continued to push for single-vision glasses. He did change my prescription after the exam. However, he adjusted my near-vision prescription to be almost the same as the distant-vision prescription of the glasses I was wearing. I told him that it wouldn't work because I couldn't read comfortably with the glasses I was wearing. He then became very combative. I couldn't trust him so I didn't remake glasses with them again.
Then I went to America's Best where they checked the prescription of MyEyeDr’s glasses and found that the near-vision prescription was off by +1.5. More specifically, the difference between the distance and near visions was 2.5 whereas it was supposed to be just around 1. No wonder I couldn't read. Now I have gotten my new glasses from America's Best. I can finally see properly.
Between the incorrect prescription, poor customer service, and dismissive attitude from the doctor, MyEyeDr. was a complete waste of time and money. If you value your vision and your wallet, go somewhere else.

I used to go here but when calling for an appointment they didn't have any appointments for almost 2 months so I said it was okay and I would try somewhere else and they hung up on me and put a block on my insurance so I couldn't use it anywhere else. I only found out about the block when trying to make an appointment at another dr office and they informed me about it and I had to contact my insurance directly to get it removed.
