Vandalia Recreation Center is a valued local spot for fitness and fun. It offers a great place to work out with a nice staff, although the weight area could use expansion due to frequent crowding. The center is known for hosting memorable events, such as birthday parties, complete with dedicated rooms and access to the Aquatic Center. It is also famous for its impressive 4th of July fireworks and is an excellent venue for watching ball games on a safe, soft lawn. The gym features a walking track, a well-maintained pool, and offers drop-in fees. Instructors, especially for Zumba, receive high praise, and the staff is noted for their kindness and helpfulness in emergencies.

I hosted my daughters 9th birthday party there and it was so much fun. We got to have a room for food, cake & ice cream for 1.5 hours followed by another 1.5 hrs in the Aquatic center.
