I'm fed up with this store. It's time for me to transfer all my RX's somewhere else because this Smithville Rd. location has gone down the hill. This used to be a great store & I've been going there for over 20 yrs, because it's 4 min from my house. But since my heart condition got worse over the last few yrs, I use the drive thru to pick up Rx's, but the drive thru is randomly closed (like tonite) so I have to drive around & park, get my cane & walk to the back of the store while struggling to breath. I don't care if the employees got permission to close the drive thru window early---why not close the pharmacy counter early & leave the drive thru window open? Half the time they don't have my RX's ready because they're waiting for them to be filled & shipped from some out of state warehouse instead of in the store itself. 2 wks ago I picked up some RX's & when I got home I realized they had filled one that isn't on auto refill & I never requested it to be filled because I haven't even been on that RX for a while....talk about a lawsuit waiting to happen.
If it's not one thing it's another.....
1. Drive thru window randomly closing early
2. Pharmacy itself closing early
3. RX delays
4. Rx's constantly out of stock

I would not recommend nobody to Walgreens on Smithville and Watervliet they are very rude not nice at all and not professional

This morning I got to Walgreens on Smithville and watervliet to put money on my card so I can pay my bill and I got here right at 8:00. The girls inside are standing around and just gossiping making wow faces, not even turning the lights on or getting things set up for people to come in and shop and do things that they have to do get their prescriptions put money on their car to pay their bills or even just get your essentials like NyQuil cuz it is winter or anything else anybody may need. Let's not mention the fact that every time I get my prescription sent here it takes them 2 days. There's no reason why if you have a job you cannot do it efficiently and effectively. Still sitting out here in the parking lot waiting for them to turn the lights on waiting for them to open wow š²

The pharmacy is totally incompetent! It takes days for them to get prescriptions ready. They never answer the phone, when they do your on hold for 15 or more minutes. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!!

Worst pharmacy Iāve ever been to. Tried to pick up my meds 3 days in a row only for them to keep telling me to come back the next day and they still donāt have it, and the lines are constantly long and no one picks up the phone.

The new Pharmacist at Walgreens on corner of Smithville and watervelet in Dayton Ohio ,is the worst! I agree with most of the comments at this particular Walgreens. My mother had passed, funeral was on 22nd,last month on the 22nd I pulled in to drive through to get my main prescription,as I am disabled and elderly. The new Pharmacist said I did not get this prescription last month until the 24,if he would of looked at cameras he would see me getting my prescription on the 22nd right behind my long time friend of 20 years which I will not say their names here. Long story short,I barely made it to my mother's funeral. I suggest you all write letters to Mike Dewine. It sure sounds like the new Pharmacist is exploiting mikes laws,which by the way Mike Dewine was my neighbor for 16 years. Write him , please.

How do you not know how to run the code for BCMH??? It is not through Medicaid it is a special need and that is The CODE!!!!
Had to have prescriptions transferred because of Rite Aide!
My son is a type 1 diabetic and needs his sensors for his sugar check.
You really need to train people better.
So Again it is under Special need not Medicaid !!! Will be calling corporate office because absolutely ridiculous!

I donāt typically leave reviews bc I understand sometimes people have bad days. But this is the second time Iāve come in (weeks apart) and have seen the same short African American with short hair employee screaming at other coworkers. Itās too early to be doing all that in the morning. The last time I was in there a few weeks ago she hit a kid Iām assuming was her child. Like how is this acceptable around customers? How does she even still have a job??? Management you NEED to do better by your employees bc they dont deserve to be working in hostility over one out of control bad apple. I would leave 0 stars if I could.

Pharmacist didnāt pay attention to the prescription and gave me the wrong stuff! Canāt take my medicine now and they are closed. Going on vacation and have to find a Walgreens on the way now. Just an unnecessary hassle because of her inattentiveness and attitude.

THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE! Every time I come here nothing is ready, the people behind the counter could not be more rude if they tried! They never take their lunch when the signs and phone messages say they have lunch so you just never know if they are open in the afternoon or not. They hound you about prescription questions that are None of their business. The wait times are insane. Heaven forbid if you have a question! I need a new pharmacy.

Their service has went downhill ever since the Covid pandemic. I realize that the pandemic messed everyone up, but it is not the scapegoat for everything. The Rx is no longer open on Sundays. They also are no longer open till 9 pm daily, now it's 7 pm. But that's only if they can pull another overworked pharmacist from a different store to work at the Smithville location. If they cannot find a pharmacist, then their pharmacy has to remain closed that day. Currently I am looking into switching pharmacies, but finding this is a nationwide problem Currently!

I come here all the time but the experience today when I sat the 1 item I was purchasing on the counter was gross. 3 female clerks. No one said a word. All shot me dirty looks because they had piles of cash ? all over the counter top doing a drawer. Super irresponsible handling of money it was everywhere, they stayed silent and then finished their money counting as my bf and I stood waiting to be acknowledged.Entire minute then they grabbed my TP and scanned it and one of them knocked an entire display of lollipops over and they all broke all over the floor. Get new people who donāt want a free paycheck because those girls are hateful toward a customer coming to buy products and donāt realize thatās how the doors stay open at a business and they are driving a customer of 36 years off!

First off, I'm not one to ever complain and i believe i've only given like 3 bad reviews in my life but this Walgreens needs some management help. My immune system is compromised from stage 4 terminal cancer and i've tested positive for covid so my doctor called in Paxlovid and for some reason Walgreens couldn't fill the script because there was a glitch in there system i was told. Finally after sitting on hold for 30 min. when i called back i was told i could pay cash and get my script which i did, but as i was driving i wondered how many do i take in a day and i tried to call back and i was on hold until they closed. Today i woke up and started trying to reach Walgreen and was again on hold the first time for 24 min. and somehow the phone just disconnected so i waited about an hour and tried again, once again i was on hold for more than 20 min. so i hung up and called corporate and was told by them the store would be in contact within 24 hours at which time i would be pass the time limit for this medication, so at this point i just feel like theres no hope, but i decide to call the other Kettering store and the pharmacy answers right away and they put me on a brief hold and the main pharmicist gets on the phone and helps me right away. I thanked him so much. I realized after looking at the reviews that i'm not the only one who has had problems with 2600 S. Smithville Rd. Walgreens. I hope corporate looks at the reviews and gets this store turned around, because they are dealing with peoples lives when it comes to getting your scripts and this should be a big priority. If you've dealt with this pharmacy lately you know the wait times i'm talking about. I feel bad complaining, but its been a very bad experience, especially since my health depends on it.
