Me and my friend were out of power for three days and needed a place to shower and recoup and we were not allowed access. We were willing to pay to be a customer so we could use their bathrooms and we were not allowed to. For a place that is for women and for empowering women, we sure did not feel empowered. We walked through the door and the person who was at the front desk would not even have the decency to look us in the eyes. If you are looking for a safe place where you would feel welcomed, this is not the place for you.

If you’re white, they will discriminate against you. Their website even promotes their focus on helping those who are black and Hispanic. So not only am I in a situation where I’ve reached out for help, I now get to deal with rude people that don’t want to help because I’m white. Leaving myself and daughter feeling hopeless and nobody that cares.

Low star rating for the location & no indication of where they’re located. I had went through my clothes to donate & had plenty of name brand items, lightly worn, uggs, shoes, from girls to women’s I was really excited to drop off here instead of goodwill. So I gps’ed the location.
When I pull up it said it was on the side of a busy one way street in downtown so I pulled off to the side so I wasn’t driving around in circles looking around. No luck looking from my car. & I had 30-40 lbs worth of clothes and shoes to donate but there was no way I could carry all these items on foot while looking for this place so I had to drive off and just go back home and donate to my goodwill.
Would love if there were more directions on where donations can be made at. As an out of towner who is not familiar with downtown Dayton it was not an easy find, would’ve loved to made a difference.

If you are reading this review continue trying to get in touch, please don’t let my review stop you from trying to get the help you need. I’ve spent months trying to get out of my abusive situation. I had an appointment on August 9th, during this appointment I was told I qualified for a housing my program . Following it I’ve left many voice mails, at the front desk, called the emergency line, the extensions, etc. I’ve received not a single call, email, and I’m losing energy to continue. Dangling hope that someone’s situation will change is cruel. If this organization was not going to help, I wish I would’ve known that before I got excited thinking I was going to finally be able to live a safe life.

It’s a great place for you if you deal with PTSD. The staffs are soo great. Case managers are amazing. The place is so peaceful and you can get the peace that your partner didnt give it to you.

Dropped off some clothing donations and was an enjoyable experience. Woman at the front desk was extremely delightful. We didn't know it but we came after donation hours and she let us donate anyway. She was busy doing other things but tried to accommodate us as much as possible. We have found our place to take our donations.
