Always a hassle picking up prescriptions there. Workers are rude and are never welcoming.. So much different at Powell Giant Eagle pharmacy, where every visit is a welcoming experience, and you’re guaranteed a friendly person on the other side of the counter !

The prescriptions are done in a timely manner. Would be nice if when a refill is ordered on the app, that it would remember what location so it didn't have to be re-enter after placing request. All in all great!!!

The pharmacist and technicians work hard to always have my prescription ready each month. They are very diligent in working with my provider and insurance to apply any discounts or rebates available, finding me the absolute lowest cost. Thank you GE Pharmacy team!!

Ohhh could not wait to write this one. Walked in to get the covid booster, walked out when I got a load of attitude from the pharmacist (short 30'ish plus size white woman). I requested a pharmacist administer the shot, uh ohhhh out of bounds. Flushed face..."why you so worried about that??...Ohio requires pharmacists to give vaccines anyways." WRONG. I got my first covid shot from the cashier at a different OHIO G.E.! THAT'S why I asked. And they weren't that swift either. I think they hit bone marrow. I was worried it would be ineffective since it almost went the whole way through ...yeah, exit wound. I don't assume anything anymore in Ohio....third world.

A friend of mine had their tonsils removed and I took them the Perimeter Loop Market District Pharmacy for their pain medication and antibiotics after discovering it was the ONLY location with the needed medications. We dropped the prescriptions off at 4:50pm. We were told it would be an hour because the store was under staffed (according to the pharmacist). An hour later, we were told it would be ANOTHER hour! We were then told that one prescription (for pain medication) wasn't written properly and they could not fill it without speaking with the doctor. If the pharmacy had noticed the mistake at drop off, the doctor's office would've been open and able to fix it. Instead, we're still in the parking lot at 6:30pm hoping that the doctor's answering service can correct it. I expect more from Giant Eagle and will not be using this pharmacy location in the future.
*It is now 7pm. The issue with the prescription has been corrected but now there is an issue with the equipment so the other prescriptions can't be processed. This is bad.*

Horrific Pharmacy, Amy the snotty pharmacist determined in her infinite wisdom that substituting a generic medicine with different ingredients is acceptable under Ohio Law, despite my having serious medical allergies to the substitute medication. Had I blindly followed the prescription as Amy determined I should I would be far worse than not taking the medication at all. Do not trust them, the insistence that Ohio Law allowed her substitution without asking can cause more harm than good. How can a company be so negligent about dispensing medication. Amy isn't a pharmacist, she is making medical decisions, I though that was what the Doctor's were for. God like behavior from a pharmacist you pay and should be able to trust. Totally unacceptable.

I signed up for a Google profile just to share my experience with this pharmacy. They are not very responsible to their customers in my opinion. I had my prescription transferred here a month ago because it's closer to my new apt. The transfer process was smooth and I got my 1st refill here with no hassle. I signed up for auto-refill monthly but I NEVER got a notice to pick up my 2nd refill. When I realized it was almost end of month I called them. The pharmacist first told me I could pick it up next day but a couple hours later called me back saying Giant Eagle stopped the contract with the pharmaceutical company therefore they CAN NOT refill my prescription. They said they can't do anything about it (I don't recall they even apologized for this) and told me to go find a different pharmacy. You think they will notify you for something important like terminating prescription contracts but they never did. Now I have to transfer my prescription to a different pharmacy which add another 1-2 days at least before I can get my refill. Luckily I am not completely out of my pills and the drug is for non life-threatening illness. Otherwise I can't imagine the inconvenience and potential harm to my life because of this!
