The Way Station is a not for profit compassionate ministry offering emergency assistance and poverty-breaking initiatives. All sites house a thrift store, offer emergency food and services, as well as classes and on-the-job training. It is described as having lovely and very sympathetic people, with volunteers who are truly inspiring. The store has a little bit of everything, including a great resource called the Second Chance Book Nook. This features loads of kids books, early readers, classics, contemporary works, homeschool materials, vinyl records, cookbooks, and biographies at very low prices. All proceeds go toward helping community members. Some feedback expresses a wish for later operating hours to allow more people to visit.
