I lived in one of the smaller studio units here for two years, and had a great experience with this apartment complex. The area is quiet and parking is never an issue. The rooms retain heat well in the winter and the updated laundry rooms with phone app balances are never too busy. Office staff and maintenance were always courteous to me, and quick to reply to voicemails or emails. I moved out of state, but wouldn't hesitate to recommend people rent here.

It's basically the projects just painted blue. The rent is outlandish for the size of the units as well as the overall upkeep of the grounds, and look of the place. The whole place needs to be remodeled and exterminated. This is my personal opinion/review as a visiting guest of a family member who used to live there.

not sure why there’s so many negative reviews… been here a year now and i’m in love with this place. decent rent prices (in this economy) for a decent and safe area. i have an updated 1 bedroom and it looks so luxurious!! i get compliments constantly! not to mention they’re like little houses. one story living with your own little porch area. maintenance is beyond nice and accommodating. had an issue with my fridge and they replaced the whole thing that day. i haven’t had too many interactions with the main office, because i haven’t had many issues here. but when i have been in contact with them they’ve been super nice and helpful!

Property is well taken care of, response time by maintanence was acceptable. Price is not necessarily worth the benefits, would suggest finding other options if available.
My main complaint is that the staff will take every chance at leveraging their power in their leases to charge you out of the wazoo, with little to no prior communication. Phone lines consistently down, random out of office days by leasing staff that are only communicated by a sign taped to the front door, and no formal communication. It's not the worst option for a temporary place to stay, but you have better options. Look for them.

Live there for a year. The apartment was poorly maintained, asked several times for a new filter for the heating and cooling system, but never got one. Had a companion animal but the still charged me fees for the animal and at the end of my lease I left the apartment in immaculate condition. They kept my deposit and didn’t even give me the pet deposit back. If I had to do it again I would not pay the last two months rent because they stole my deposit.

One of the reasons for not getting my security deposit back was the stove was dirty. I had never used the stove while I lived here, and wiped it down before I left. The little baked on whatever in the oven was from the previous tenant(s). Wanted you guys to know this and get it off my chest it's been years.

Respectfully, do not move here. I lived here for a year, 6 months out of the 12 were okay. The last 6 were horrible. I did not feel welcome in my own home. The power surges to the point they are going to eventually catch on fire. The hot water tanks do not work, maybe get 10 minutes of hot water. I was paying maybe 80.00 for electeic before I live here (in a 1600 square foot 3 bedroom home) and almost 200.00 every month living here. They well sell you a story book but realistically you can hear the people 2 doors down. You WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO REACH ANYONE AT EFFECENT PROPERTY MANAGEMENT EVER, the website from them is no longer avalible either.

Nice appartment. Nice office and maintenence staff who were polite, professional, prompt and helpful. Good neighbors. All around Nice quiet community and a great place to live. The upkeep of the grounds was excellent. I'd recommend dover to anyone. They really try hard to give the tenant a good experience.

Can't even have a pet here. That right there is a 1 star. Ridiculous lol cats don't harm anybody and why does it matters if the person takes care of them and the place?

My husband and I have lived at Dover for the past 2 years and have had a great experience! We have a dog, so we love having our own front door and little grass area in front of our apartment for her to enjoy. Additionally, its great having our own patio area to sit outside and grill out during the summer. Bob and Linda in the office have always been nothing but nice to us and are always so helpful when we need anything. The maintenance team is also fantastic and whenever we need a repair or service done to our apartment they complete excellent work and are quick to do so. The complex is quiet and we have enjoyed many friendly neighbors around us. I would recommended Dover Place Apartments to anyone!

Great place to live. Management is very friendly and helpful.I love my apartment. They really did a great job with the updates. I would highly recommend living here. It’s nice and peaceful. Great community.

Super giant potholes everywhere, if you don’t have a car than this place would be great. I lived here years ago, the space is great, not the biggest living room but the laundry room made up for it some as well as a laundry room with the pull down stairs for store was really great. Parking spots are limited here, on the bus line and very quiet location.
