I went to buy a used set of poker chips. Literally about half were missing. They refused to sell it to me bc there was no price tag. They didn't even try & price it or anything.

Used to be an amazing store that you could find treasure in if you looked hard enough, after moving locations it seems like they don't let anything worth finding make it to the floor anymore. Great business model though of getting people to give them free stuff to sell at a premium!

I found a super cute dress on the rack but it didn’t have a tag on it. They “hold it for 24 hours” and take no names or phone numbers. I wish they would at least take down a phone number to let you know it’s back on the floor. In this particular case I would have paid like a higher price if it meant I could have it since it was the first dress I actually felt cute in ever. I literally left the store crying.I will try tomorrow to see if they actually put it out but I really doubt they do that.Update: they don’t actually put it back put after the 24 hour hold it just get put back out whenever, if it gets put back out. So when you fall in love with an item that they forgot to price you’re out of luck. The experience of getting to checkout to realize there was no tag, being told it’s put back out next day here for hours waiting for it looking for it to be told actually they just bring it out whenever is such a horrid experience and will never be back. Also like 70% of clothing items are $6 AND UP. like they have gone up in price quite a bit.

I’ve shopped here several times before and it was a decent experience. However, I recently called to ask if they could look and see if they have what I’m looking for real quick (black dress shoes in an uncommon size) because they are far from me. Whoever answered the phone immediately said “I’m gonna bank on no.” I asked if she could go over to the shoe area, and physically look. Which I figured would be easy. Look for a black dress shoe, look at the size, yes or no? Okay. Cool. It’s not like I told her to go look at every shoe. I was as specific and narrowed down as it could get. There’s no kinder word that can be used to describe her behavior other than just lazy. I work in customer service and I would never ask someone to do something I wouldn’t be willing to do for a customer in their position.

Don't shop here store claims to have a 0 return policy but doesn't have it posted on doors .. also they claim that shoes are not clothing and would not return a pair of boots either... place is a joke and a scam

The new location has pre-picked through merchandise, that leaves only crumbs, for the poor excuse of what used to be a great thrift store beforeI leave two stars, instead of one, due to the friendly staff

Started going to Eastlake GW in August 2021 after we moved to Mentor. 2023 is the start of the downfall. I'll preface with I personally talked to Mark Trew (COO) and emailed twice. No response. I emailed Anne Richards (CFO) twice and no response (3 months waiting for any response). The emails were about "stop putting stickers over the UPC code, and stop with the $12-20 for a broken cheap 35mm cameras, $30-60 for a bottom line VCRs, $20+ for low-end trashed shoes, etc, etc."I am a reseller. Mainly focus on First Class weight items and Media. Of the past 3 months this GW has had TONS of DVDs. I'll scan or lookup 100s while there (now only once a month) and find 1 or 2 that have a resale value of $10ish. They are prescanning DVDs, books, etc. Of such, what was a twice a week stop is now not even once a month. I go to Saver's and find 10+ DVDs worth $20-40 each twice a week, not to mention books, and small items in good to near mint condition.I belong to many reseller groups/forums. The word is out!!My posts on those forums coincide with other posts: "Dont bother going here... prices are too high for resellers.... let alone the average joe!"I am extending the courtesy to anyone reading this. If you want darn near retail prices for beyond used goods, then this store is for you. If you are or intend to resell, DO NOT bother going to Eastlake GW!!!"

After my last experience I will never be back I purchased some items at this location 6/12 I usually always check my receipt because I’m always double charged at this location this time I checked too late because they were close I was charged twice for a pajama set so I called and they told me come the next day I come back on 6/13 to the same girl who cash me out was rude she started yelling at me saying it was different tags when the set was on the hanger was together then she eventually got the manager he was nice and help me but the cashier never apologized I don’t like the fact I was only offer store credit so I’m stuck with making a purchase when I just wanted my money back so beware

The prices are fair. Unfortunately, if you're hoping to find any hidden treasures or famous brands forget it because all the good stuff goes on their online auction site to the highest bidder. A shame since these things are donated. And don't be fooled. While they may give a little back to the community and various charitable causes, which are all tax deductible btw, their CEO's are paid very well.

I was very disappointed Goodwill is no longer giving points on your purchases. The prices have doubled and the store was a mess.
