I have had several problems with them. Part of the time I can't get on my Online Banking to get my balance and check other things. It keeps telling me to update when I already have. Not happy!

I’m one of the 9% who voted against Freedom 1st “merging” with Bridge CU. I saw how bad and incompetent Bridge CU is and continues to be and what they did to the customers of Montgomery County Credit Union including myself. They haven’t improved and have shown themselves and their staff to be untrustworthy. Run away from them if you can. Freedom 1st CU management did not do their due diligence before merging with Bridge CU

I've had an account with Freedom 1st since 7th grade (2001-2002) and I have NEVER had one single issue... Until Bridge just took over. I don't know WHAT is going on... But, the phone experience this morning was enough for me to write this review.. After explaining something very serious to a person in a very simple manner (all I need to know is when my loan was closed and when my overdraft fees are due back) she's repeating the word "what" and "hello" over and over again.. Then her phone worked and then she apologized her computer froze and then she apologized she was on the wrong account to begin with so I asked if this was the Eaton Office thinking maybe I can talk to someone else and sure enough that's what happened... The calls get connected to any of 9 branches when you try to call Eatons local branch.

I loved Freedom 1st but I’m hating Bridge Credit Union. They won’t verify my sons deposit with his work so he didn’t get his check, the fraud detection is garbage or they don’t have it anymore, I hate it goes to call center and not one on one with the Eaton bank staff. The call center is absolutely no help at all. The app and website is just garbage!!! Already know a bunch who left and more planning to leave and my family and I may be next. Absolutely hate it!!!!! Nothing a credit union should be. Whoever wanted this merger shame on you!!!! Can we just go back to how it was

Since this credit union was taken over it has gone to hell. They now charge you $179 to get a loan. I will paying interest on at loan isn't that enough. Plus any activity before 11/1/2023 can not be viewed online. They said they can print out our previous activity, knowing Bridge they will charge you for the printouts.

Every single account is a separate login. This is the most unequipped banking experience I’ve ever dealt with. So unorganized and very poorly managed.

LONG TIME CUSTOMER AND THEIR EMPLOYEES, THEY INCREASED HOLD TIME ON MY CHECK BC I ASKED TO TALK TO A MANAGER, SO IF YOU MAKE THEM DO THEIR JOB THEY PLAY GAMES WITH YOUR ACCOUNT, VERY SHADY AND UNETHICAL! I never had this issue until the last 2 years, this credit union has gone downhill. Even though they promised I wouldn't deal with a hold again, bc I brought up their promise & demanded to speak withe manager who told me this wouldn't be an issue ever againthey claimed the manager wasn't there and out of spite they increased the hold from a 3 day to a 5 day, if you question their authority over your money they increase hold time. And apparently holds now apply to all checks over $250. Kick rocks Never in my life have I had a bank just increase a hold bc of a complaint and holds on checks of more than $250 is ridiculous,& to make no funds available at all. Been with this credit union for a long time but I am not giving them another penny. I'm glad I found this out today bc I was going to open two new accounts there but not going to bank with some1 who messes with people's livelihood just because they are mad I wanted to speak to a manager. If they are willing to lie straight to my face about my own money & try to intentionally keep me from my money longer so they can gain interest, nope not playing that game. Beware unethical workers here.

Worst credit union I've ever been to. Unhelpful in nearly every way.This credit union is still stuck in 1982, when the internet didn't exist.They absolutely refuse to IMPROVE. They are run by a board of directors who have never heard of the internet, the 21st century, or online banking, yet. Even one of their employees agreed with me on these sentiments.This CU forces you to seek out a paid witness (notary) to complete your SIMPLE banking needs. Their favourite word is "No". Their favourite phrase is "I Can't." - Every single thing this CU has told me they "can't" do, my other CU 6 hours away can do ALL of it right online, on their phone app, and even over the phone. I literally only use Freedom First CU to cash a check once a year. I recently cashed a check after which I tried to do a simple wire transfer, and they forced me to come back in to do that. My other CU does wire transfers right. over. the. phone. (I verified with them.) I told you: This CU's favourite words are "No" and "Can't". Side Note: While they were irritating me recently with their ancient practices, they also succeeded in angering the woman next to me. - This is a CU with dilapidated processes, and their "leadership" has no clue.The only way someone could believe this was actually a good credit union is if they have never been to another one.
