I was overall very impressed with the service. Check-in was brief and quick I was kept apprised of what was going on with my car and when they found a problem with my windshield wipers, they fixed it. The customer experience was excellent.

I had my car posted on marketplace for 8,500, this dealership reached out and made an offer of 6,500 for it. We agreed on the price I took the car there for them to look it over. After my car went through service inspection they came back stating that it needed spark plugs, coolant flush, tire rotation, as well as induction service. The issue being all these things were just completed less then 6 months before them seeing the car. I believe the service department didnt want to do there job correctly so they picked easy things to rack up a bill so sales could offer me less. I personally just flushed coolant, replaced spark plugs, and the tires only have a couple thousand miles on them. No visible need to rotate. They offered me 4,000 for the car. There was no way any of this service was required they just hoped it wouldn't get noticed. As a business owner myself id be furious if one of my employees mislead a customer to get lower pricing, 6500 was a fair price for an excellent trade in that they missed out on. I Do not blame sales I belive the service department mislead them as far as what needed done. I was also supposed to get a return phone call the following day from gary a manager regarding the issue 11-15-25 and did not receive that. Regardless I will not be back to this dealership and it has lost all my recommendations.

I can’t say enough good things about the service team at Elyria Hyundai. I unfortunately purchased my car from another dealer and have had some ongoing mechanical issues, but every time I’ve brought it to Elyria Hyundai, they’ve gone above and beyond to make things right.
From start to finish, the process has always been professional, quick, and easy. The team communicates clearly, gets the job done efficiently, and makes sure I’m taken care of — including putting me in a loaner car whenever mine was in the shop so I could keep up with my day-to-day.
Working with Elyria Hyundai is a no-brainer. They truly care about their customers and make the service experience stress-free and reliable every time.

Elyria Hyundai and Octavius Leftwich tried to pressure me to sell my fully paid-off 2023 Palisade before even explaining the issues. They claimed $10,000 in damage, refused a proper report, and tried to charge an $800 “diagnosis fee” for work not done. The experience was disrespectful, manipulative, and unprofessional — I will not return. Oh and they left my car took apart after I paid there maid up fee !

While our salesman, Michael Jackson, was very nice and I have no complaints about him. However, they negotiated with us for a while, we agreed to purchase…and when we shared we were using pre-approved financing with our credit union they said no, they don’t accept credit union financing. They explicitly stated they could not match the rate my credit union gave us but we should finance with them and then re-finance later with our credit union. When I expressed re-financing would be an additional fee, their finance woman was pretty sassy telling me it wouldn’t cost anything to re-finance. I confirmed within minutes it would cost roughly $300 to refinance and that the only way it would take 45-60 days for my credit union to pay them (as they said it would) was if the dealer took that long to send the title. They texted me hours later saying they would honor my price once I confirmed my re-finance would be free. The following Monday morning they texted back saying that they said what they did about a refinancing fee because they didn’t know and that even with the fee to refinance I should still come buy their car.
I got a good deal done right next door at the Honda dealer, who I would in fact recommend. Steer clear of this place who will tell you whatever benefits them in order to benefit themselves.
