We booked for four days we dealt with no hot water sink leaking for two days and finally had enough we was able to use pool for a whole 15 minutes and had to beg them to open it next day was drained and filled same day and hasn't been open since then they finally after freaking out moved us to another room with no heat. Then went to say something because we have our two kids and was threatened with cops called on us. There is definitely a bunch of riff Raf and the first morning I got approached while taking my 4 year old to a babysitter at 8 am by a detective on a job for human trafficking asking me questions. And we tried to book back in feb as we are from florida and was never told about the whole deposit as you walk through this placce all you smell is cigarette and weed.Totally will never return again and for the prices definitely would not book. And when my husband went down and complained the office desk person said that they are not to bother the manager this late at night it was an older gentleman being a manager of anywhere you should be 100% available for anythingRooms: HorribleNoteworthy details: Will never book through here again

I've stayed here a few times, and the staff that I've encountered have been great, they're all nice and professional. The rooms are always clean and the beds are comfy, just could use a little modernizing imo. My only complaint is the additional $200 deposit you now have to make when getting a room. I understand the need for it due to people trashing the rooms and whatnot, but the whole reason I originally even chose to stay here was their affordable rates, if I had an additional $200 to put down I would just choose to stay at a nicer hotel with better amenities. Overall a good hotel though.

Front desk clerk (the Indian man - he should be fired) literally hung up on me when I called to complain about (1) Room lights not working, and (2) TV's not working. We had FOUR rooms side-by-side and all four of them had some electrical issue. I didn't even get to the DEAD BUG we found smeared in one of the bed sheets - the PUBIC HAIRS (yes - multiple) we found on our toilet - or the smoke-smell saturating one of the 4 bedrooms - clearly someone violated their non-smoking policy and we had to deal with it. When we complained the following morning that rude Indian man suggested it was OUR fault because we hadn't said something the night before! Unbelievable! Never, Never, NEVER again will we stay at any Red Roof Inn or any of their sister companies. The Elyria location, specifically, should be closed down due to health and guest safely violations.

Plumbing doesn't work properly ? hallway reeked of cigarettes and weed smoke. Only thing clean in the room was the linens. For the price of the room plus a $200 deposit you'd have better luck at a tiny motel.

Terrible place. Dirty, grimy, the ceilings are falling in from water leaks. The heater in my room didn’t work. There were stains on the walls. Hair and dust bunnies on the floor. Outside there was litter and cigarette bits EVERYWHERE. It’s somewhat of an overpriced homeless shelter. I wasn’t allowed to check in early unless I wanted to pay the hourly rate. Yep. They rent by the hour too, if you’re in to that. The breakfast area is no longer existent. The pool may or may not be open. You’ll pay the same rate either way. They walked in on me not once but twice?!?! The second time I was naked. They didn’t knock or anything! The manager was extremely rude. I will update with photos.

Hotel does NOT enforce the NO-SMOKING policy. The hotel reeks of several kinds of smoke, not just cigarettes.Hotel was visited by cops twice in a four hour time frame.I've never had issues checking in early, especially an hour before hand. The room was clean "enough". I stayed in the deluxe suite, under the couch there was dirt, crumbs, hair ties. The towels were clean but the lint traps obviously were not as there was wadded up hair in the towels. I didn't even open the couch for the guest bed to see that let alone actually sit on the couch.I was ignored when I was checking out because of the rude guests coming though. Total stereotypical drug abusers, pot smokers, escorts, totally use this hotel for non-ethical purposes. This is why when you check-in, they THEN inform you that there is an additional $200 deposit on your room.Seriously, just stay somewhere else for cleanliness, convenience, and safety.

How I wish to have come here and read the reviews before booking this dirty hotel. We booked 2 double rooms for myself, my sister, and our adult children. the bed linens have stains, including the pillowcases. The bath was so dirty that we couldn't have our shower in it,The staff also have attitudes because they thought it was too much to ask for the change of bed linens and to eventually change the rooms because of their bathrooms. Our other family members who stayed in nearby hotels get better treatment (including breakfasts) with cheaper rates. Unfortunately, we couldn't get rooms there because of getting to Elryia very late. The basic amenities in the room were so limited. The only good thing is their rooms are big but nothing else.Attached pictures and clip show the leaking of water in the bathroom of the new room (222) they changed us to.If this hotel was my first I'm America, I would have thought such are the likes of America hotels especially travelling all the way from England.

We booked through Priceline and asked for handicapped room when we arrived per usual when booking online. The new employee, the night we checked in, was willing to make the adjustments to put me in the handicapped room. Even though he tried to charge $85 extra for Handicap room.It was a very enjoyable experience so we decided to extend our stay. The next morning, I went down to let the front desk know we decided to extend our stay. The man at the desk at that time REFUSED to let me (permanently disabled) to stay in the HANDICAPPED room because I didn't choose it on line and my booking doesn't cover the cost of the handicap rooms. After a lit of RUDE customer service stress and irritation, I informed him he had to come move me. Sitting quietly waiting for him to come move us down to another room (not handicap) he shows up and my service dog in full vest leash and face lead on makes a bit of noise and he threatened to call police and have me removed. The room they put us in was gross. No lamp shades no microwave plate cracks in walls and tub.I have contacted the corporate office and am still waiting for return communication to make it right. Told ot would take 24-48 hrs it's been 72hrs. Guess they're forcing me to file DISCRIMINATION LAW SUITThey do have bud bugs ... seen this as we were leaving.. Witnessed live bugs on it myself.

I stayed at this location 09/16 and 09/17. I was absolutory not the least bit impressed. The first night I noticed the strong odor of marijuana emanating from one of the first floor rooms into the hallway. That Same night I also found that the pop machine was broken (it kept my $3.00) and the WIFI signal was almost non existent. When I was going to speak with the attendant about the pop machine a couple from another room were being moved due to their AC not working. The one in my room was pretty shotty too. Whenever the rooms above me would flush you could also hear the tsunami of humane waste gushing down the pipes in the walls.I get it, Red Roof is a "budget" chain but I travel all over the state for trainings and seminars and have stayed in locations in the Columbus area that were truly decent. This one was just a commode. Definity worth spending more money to stay at a classier establishment.

Should have read the reviews. Great price, but was hard falling asleep because of the reviews.NO BREAKFAST, but info for the motel said there was. Definitely needs to be upgraded or remodeled to make all the bad reviews go away.Rooms: Basic 2 beds with fridge, coffee pot, and 5 plug surge protector for all your devices needing charging. Very week WiFi and my phone could not connect to the Internet here.Food & drinks: A vending machine for each.Noteworthy details: Total smoke free facility, but did see people smoking outside by the doorsNone of the options for hotel did NOT apply .

A cheap hotel where you get what you payed for. If you like thin walls where you can hear your neighbors, bed sheets that have weird texture from being worn and getting hit with the smell of weed upon entering your room. This is the place for you.
