Ridgid customer service is terrible. What good is Lifetime Warranty when you cannot contact Anyone. No service. Should have bought Dewalt line of tools.

Home Depot has divorced itself with any responsibility for the stated or implied warranties related to Rigid Tools. That decision was made to prevent Home Depot employees from getting tied up for hours and hours waiting for Rigid Tool Company to answer their telephone. It has been my experience that Rigid Tools warranty department NEVER answer their telephone within the first two hours. If the corporate level management at HD knows Rigid Tools warranties are a sham, it follows that any association by Home Depot to Rigid Tools is an intentional invitation to allow Rigid Tools to wreak unlimited "Reputation Risk" on Home Depot, thus inviting astute investors to short HD’s stock. As many times as I have called the phone number given me by the Manager of two different HD stores, I have followed the promots on Rigid Tools telephone recording, only to be been put on hold; average hold time is two hours. In good natured fun, in front of several HD salespeople in the power tool department, I held up my phone when Rigid Tool’s canned reccorded message about “experiencing an unusual number of calls.…, etc., etc.,” was playing; then asked if anyone will bet me $100 that any human at Rigid Tools Warranty department will pick up the phone within the next 60 minutes. No takers. So I offered: “$200?”No HD employee has ever taken that bet. Perhaps they have experienced the futility of attempting to find a human on duty and willing to pick up a telephone call at RIGID.One wonders if Rigid Tools has any person or persons aware that their tools are sold with a printed warranty. Or if Rigid Tools has any responsible corporate officers aware of the “Reputation Risk” they are imposing upon Home Depot. More basic is the financial and IR senior management inside HD aware that Rigid Tools's default (by intent to avoid responsibility) on their warranties implies the same potential risk a slow burning chemical fire.Whether outright fraud, or incompetent management, the result will be the same. HD, by association, will suffer Reputation Risk by selling a product supplied them by Rigid Tools, whose most senior management has intentionally created insurmountable barriers for HD’s customers who purchased Rigid Tools through HD, to claim on Rigid Tools warranty when their products fail.CONCLUSION: Never trust anyone at HD who tells you their Rigid Tools are warrantied by HD: They are not. Knowing Rigid Tools warranties are vapor at best, a sham at worst; HD employees may say that the Rigid Tools they sell are warrantied by Rigid Toots, and all warranty claims must be processed through Rigid Tools. This is often known as keeping “arms length” distance to avoid any association between two entitites. It is plausible to suspect HD senior management knows Rigis Tools, whose products are mainly manuafactured in China, has become a leaderless, failing or failed corporation that cannot, or will not, employ anyone to pick up their telephone calls. So far, in my experience, any and all Rigid Tool warranties are as worthless as the professional reputation of most senior leadership at the Board of Directors level, their executives, including the senior officers in their legal department. Any executive who puts his name to the corporate “Code of Conduct” should be required to record, on a weekly basis, the amount of time it takes them, using the same telephone number Rigid Tools provides HD, to make human contact with Rigid Tools Battery Warranty department. Consider this an underpinning to applied ethics.Harbor Freight's customer service TOWERS above HD, whose reputation will remain soiled long after they sever their connection with Rigid Tools, whose designed inability to be connected to consumers, gives the impartial observer that Rigid Tools has staffed their warranty related customer service to a payphone in some cemetery in China.

Owed a 12 inch tile saw for about 5 years now and always had serviced at my local home depot which was nice. Decided to invest on other tools as I renew my old tool and come to find out home depot no longer service them. I call Ridgid and not only they can't find my tools on their system the nears service center is 100 miles away and they will not service me because I don't have a receipt. Time to look for a new company to service my need with tools! Start buying makita again since they never let me down.

Absolutely terrible service. Called about a repair after 2 months of dealing with repair company. Was told they have 90 days so called back more than a month later and they just ordered the part the same day. IF everything stays on track it will be over 4 months by the time i get my drill back. With the cost of the motor plus labor Rigid could have sent me a new drill for same or less. Instead they told me i had to wait until the service center either fixed it or said it was non repairable. If you dont have a good repair center nearby then I’d steer clear of all rigid products, meaning ryobi as well, unless you plan on disposing of them once they break.

Wish they offered the option of no stars. I had an issue with a new table saw and I sent an email to customer service and recieved NO response. I gave them a chance and now I will be returning it.

BE CAREFUL, THE WARRANTY SEGMENT OF RIDGID CLAIMS THAT IF YOU PURCHASE ONE OF THE RIDGID TOOLS FROM ANY OTHER THAN Home Depot IT IS CONSIDERED A USED TOOL BECAUSE IT WAS PURCHASED FROM ANOTHER COMPANY AFTER Home Depot SOLD IT TO THEM???? COME ON GUYS THAT IS THE WEAKEST THING YOU COULD POSSIBLY SAY TO A CUSTOMER.I PURCHASED MY NEW TOOL IN AN UNOPENED BOX, I BROKE THE SEAL MYSELF AND YOUR TELLING ME IT'S A USED TOOL???? THAT IS NOT ONLY THE WEAKEST REASON I'VE EVER HEARD, THAT'S ALSO COMICAL.I WILL SAY THAT WHEN I HEARD THAT FROM YOUR CUSTOMER SERVICE GUY I COULD NOT STOP LAUGHING.SO YOU WIN I GUESS, I WILL STOP ALL MY FUTURE PURCHASES OF THE RIDGID BRAND. WHAT A TOTALLY ILLOGICAL ANSWER TO GIVE A CUSTOMER! OH AND BY THE WAY, LEGALLY DON'T YOU THINK THAT YOU SHOULD STATE ON THE BOX THAT Home Depot IS THE ONLY PLACE THAT A CUSTOMER CAN PURCHASE YOUR BRAND FOR THE WARRANTY TO BE EFFECTIVE, NOW THAT'S ONLY IF YOU WANT TO BE HONEST, RIGHT?

be careful, the warranty segment of ridgid claims that if you purchase one of the ridgid tools from any other than home depot it is considered a used tool because it was purchased from another company after home depot sold it to them???? come on guys that is the weakest thing you could possibly say to a customer.i purchased my new tool in an unopened box, i broke the seal myself and your telling me it's a used tool???? that is not only the weakest reason i've ever heard, that's also comical.i will say that when i heard that from your customer service guy i could not stop laughing so you win i guess, i will stop all my future purchases of the ridgid brand. what a totally illogical answer to give a customer! oh and by the way, legally don't you think that you should state on the box that home depot is the only place that a customer can purchase your brand for the warranty to be effective, now that's only if you want to be honest, right?

I have a Ridgid Brad nailer, model R213BNA which I have probably used 5 or 6 times over the years. It came in a plastic case which I keep in my garage work bench with the rest of my power tools. I went to use it a couple months ago and when I picked it up out of the case it disintegrated (around the adjustable exhaust and also the magazine latch). I have never had a power tool do this before. I contacted Ridgid customer service and was told nothing could be done as it was past warranty. I told the lady that wasn't the point. It is a safety issue. What would happen if it decided to disintegrate while I was using it. I offered to send photos of it which she declined. She did not want to discuss it and very condescendingly and mockingly said, "Have a wonderful day sir." I guess since they do not care about potential safety issues I will contact Occupational Health and Safety to see if they want to take a look at it. I will not be buying Ridgid tools again.

Love both my Ridgid hand tools and power tools. Lifetime warranty can't be beat. I love that I can drop off tools for repair at so many places near work, home, and even where I vacation. Can't wait to see what they come out with this year.

We purchased a $3500 Ridgid Seesnake pipe inspection camera last year and had only used it 9 times and the camera prongs broke off into the camera connection which made it unusable. We reached out to the local rep. and he claims this part was not under warranty – of course! We asked if we could use one of his sewer scopes until we repaired ours and he claimed he was unavailable to give us one – nice! We had to then cancel all upcoming jobs (losing lots of money) and paid $500 to replace the part that was broken to get our equipment to operate properly again. Never again! For the reputation, this company claims to have, do not be fooled - they don’t and their Seesnake and service is not worth the investment. I am now in the market for another sewer scope and will not consider Ridgid. Thanks for reading.

Ridge Tools will not respond to my internet communications: repeatedly!!! Their phone site kept me on hold 57 minutes, and then, when I heard the phone ring, the connection went silent. My inquiries began in mid-January, 2020. Now I discover their ratings are in the basement. I’ll return to Home Depot to see again if they will consider my case for the repair of my RIDGID 2610 R-O sander. I NEVER submit low ratings: never! It damages another’s reputation. This company seems to have no reputation to harm. They have managed that quite well without my assistance.
