Walmart Elyria location...Terrible customer service.One older lady is very nice.Make sure you spell your email twice.Double check everything before you leave.Completely screwed up my account.Gave me paperwork from a old account at their end,Misspelled my email.Fed up with this branch.Called today, was speaking to a manager...Was disconnected, immediately called back only to have another representative pick up the phone to tell me "the manager" was with another customer and had asked her to help me instead.Terrible.

I'm sorry I waited so long to open an account at Woodforest! It's close, convenient and I love the staff and the products! May switch all my direct deposits to Woodforest. Highly recommend.

I use the Strongsville Woodforest and Elyria branch. I have never had a problem or question that couldn’t be fixed or answered!! They have always be friendly and polite. I’ve been with Woodforest 5-6 years

Didnt know I was a banker today because they cannot count money. Im here everyday to make deposits.The people that work here have no idea what they are doing. They are slow at their job open up late every single day. I would never bank with them personally but I will be telling the company i work for to switch banks. I had to make 2 deposits and i was 1st in line took 15 min.

I have been with woodforest for over 2 years and am going to close my account today. The staff are very rude and hateful when you want something explained. The fees through this bank are ridiculous, and you can't get a straight answer out of anyone. I would NOT recommend this bank to anyone

I have never been part of an institution that used their customers more than this one. This bank is an absolute last resort option for individuals on ChexSystems and nothing more. After recently having a situation that the bank was informed of and having an institution call on my behalf and explain that they were in error in charging my account the bank still refused to return an overdraft fee (even though I also have overdraft protection) and forced me to take a class in order to have it removed. Prior to this I intentionally withdrew all of the money I had in my account so that I could close the account and this was the banks way of forcing me to keep it open until I could rectify a $29 fee. There supposedly overdraft protection does not protect you against debit card transactions the way they say it does or it would have prevented a fee from ever being attached to my account. The branch manager specifically was involved at the Elyria branch inside of Walmart and she refused to refund the fee because she knew I was closing the account she said the only way would be for me to go online and take a 40 minute online course and receive a certificate and bring it into the branch. Their suppose it overdraft protection does not protect you against debit card transactions the way they say it does or it would have prevented a fee from ever being attached to my account. The branch manager specifically was involved at the Elyria location inside of Walmart and she refused to refund the fee and said the only way to have the fee refunded would be for me to take a 40 minute online course and receive a certificate and bring it into the branch. My advice if you are on ChexSystems is to call and find out the amounts and if they are payable! If you are not on ChexSystems, like myself, I could never wrap my head around being a part of this bank! Find yourself a good credit union or another bank where its customers are just a paycheck.

Went in to this branch. I was lied to and said it doesn't cost anything to close your account, but it after it was opened, I went to close it and there's a 25 fee. Then I was told that they don't check your credit but I now have an inquiry on my credit from them. I was able to talk to a manager about it to tell her I thought that the employees who helped me gave me wrong information, but she gave me conflicting information, told me how the lady who opened my account used to be a manager and there was no way she could be wrong, and then she started talking to me like I was a child. All I wanted to know was why I was told one thing and then after my account was opened, another. All of the tellers were extremely rude and immature. I've never been talked down to like this from any company. I've never had a bank branch give me conflicting info one right after another. Steer clear!! Now, I'm on the phone with corporate to see how I can close my account and I've just been hung up on while waiting for a customer service rep.
