To add to the previous review left by Mr. Anthony Mayo…I am the stylist who cut his hair, the ONE time he actually showed up for his appointment, as he has no showed 3 separate times in the past 45 days. Not only does this cost ME money out of my own pocket-but it is extremely disrespectful to my time and my other customers who are trying to schedule with me.Further, I do NOT normally receive large tips on a “great clips quality” hair cut. However, I received a $10 tip on a $21 haircut from Mr. Mayo. He did NOT express that he was unhappy, rather, told me it was “perfect”, and also rescheduled with me (for which he no call and no showed).I have been a stylist for over 15 years at our salon, and while I admit-I am biased, our regular customers can tell you, we take good care of our people at The Mantra. We’re a small family business, and many of my own customers there are treated the same…like FAMILY. That’s why we’ve successfully stayed in business for over 20 years.My name is Kara, I’m a stylist at The Mantra, and I can assure you, my hairstyling never made Great Clips look better! I have never had a problem with the Mantra. I've been going there for over 15yrs now. Been to many salons and out of all the Mantra has been the best. Maybe some of you are just way to picky or very disrespectful for not showing up for your appointments or calling to say you can't make it or will be late.! Maybe you should be going to Great Clips for your appointments! I will always give the Mantra five stars and always recommend them to everyone who ask where I get my hair done.Service: Hairstyling

I asked for a specific cut and she looked at the pic I brought at least 4 times, with my hair it should have been an easy cut. Now it looks like a child cut my hair and I'm embarrassed to even leave my house. I'm not being dramatic when I say this is the worst haircut I have EVER had. I think she was new and when I left she said "you'll get used to it."

Had a full set done in March. The person who did my nails kept getting my cuticles in the dremel and making my cuticles bleed and scab up. Fast forward to this past Thursday , I decided I needed to get them off because my nails were breaking under the acrylic. So this different person did the soak and instead of using tools to remove the rest she ground them off exposing the nail beds on 2 fingers. My hands hurt so bad. I expected thinish nails, she also cut my nails after I asked her not to. I will NEVER go back.

Came for an appointment I scheduled online, turned out it didn't go through so we scheduled an appointment at the front desk for a couple days later. I get there for that appointment and they said I had nothing scheduled under my name except for a haircut appointment a few months out that was scheduled online (which I never booked). They had booked someone else with the stylist I was seeing during the time my appt was supposed to be and they pressured her into taking me anyway and working on both of us at the same time. She was clearly stressed and rushing. The bleach, and therefore the color, was uneven and she didn't take it all the way to my part (it was a split dye) so it looked like it was already grown out. Her rushing was also evident in the way she brushed my hair after rinsing it. My hair was kinda long at the time and instead of going from the bottom and moving up to get the tangles out easier, she just kept yanking it from the scalp. Felt like she was trying to give me whiplash lol. Anyways, I didn't have my glasses on till the very end so I didn't really see the full extent of the issues until I got home. Went back to get it fixed and they decided to squeeze me in when she wouldn't have much time AGAIN, so it still wasn't great after getting it fixed and she had to rush me out with soaking wet hair bc her other client had arrived.Service: Hairstyling

I had previously had a tech cut my hair about 1 days prior to my appointment on 4/4/23. I noticed something off about the cut but figured the tech would fix when I came back for my color session. The salon called and I had to reschedule due to the original tech was unavailable. It was a blessing in disguise. Michaela was amazing and fixed my cut (the owner credited me back for the botched hair cut). I’m extremely finicky about my hair and Michaela didn’t disappoint. I was really excited about having a spa day at Mantra but it was not what I expected. Usually before u start your package they will offer you something to drink but they did not so anyway I received a descent massage and was offered room temperature water afterwards then I got my hair cut which went well but the last process was where I was really disappointed. I had a manicure and pedicure for my last treatment and during my pedicure I found out that they don't do gel pedicure so they wasn't able to remove my gel or do my pedicure. I never seen that posted anywhere or I wouldn't have got that package. Then I thought they would take off the 40 that it cost for it but instead the just added 15 more for getting a gel manicure so I still paid for the full package without even getting my feet touched. It shouldn't have been still 160 when I didn't even get everything. Anyway I was very disappointed and will not be back for any spa packages.
