I give a very low rating for the overall communication and service at Fairfield VW. My main concern centers around my Tiguan's overuse of oil, and the communication I have received from Fairfield VW's dealership service department. The low oil indicator light has turned on four times over the past 26 months. I understand that new engines do need some time to settle in; give the oil time to distribute to all the seals for proper lubrication (low oil light June 2021). However, even after the PCV valve was replaced in July 2022, I still had a low oil indicator light turn on this past December. When I took my vehicle to Fairfield VW for inspection, I was told that "the new engines tend to burn more oil in order to conserve fuel - this issue is normal." After the service appointment, it was reiterated that the use of oil is typical... low oil lights will turn on, no leaks were found, and my vehicle was perfectly fine. I find this response completely unacceptable. I have never in my experience had a new car use as much oil as this Tiguan has used. And frankly, for the service department to just tell me this is normal - that I should simply drive around with an extra quart of oil in my trunk - is unprofessional and irresponsible. I have owned several makes of cars, VW included, and never have I had a car's low oil indicator light up as much as this Tiguan's has. Between the communication with my overuse oil situation, multiple attempts investigating the oil consumption problem, and a previous EVAP repair that had to be done twice, I have lost confidence in the service department at Fairfield VW. After talking to several people with significant mechanical experience, I was made aware that it might take a new engine to fix this problem - some internet research shows that a class action lawsuit was settled over VW engines consuming too much oil. In addition, I was advised that the response of Fairfield VW was inaccurate, dangerous, and dismissive.

Steve great salesman highly recommend him, but The sales manager with the last name Patterson run at all costs. He will talk in circles about selling used cars get them off the lot a bunch of nonsense…. then has a car listed at 5,000 with an exhaust crack which can visibly be seen and he throws out $4690 but claims it’s a 200-300 fix per his service guy and you offer $5000 but he won’t fix the problem… he claims is 200-300 so you are offering to pay to have it fixed for the 5,000 for our daughters safety, which it is scheduled to be fixed next week at the muffler shop he says…but sounds like it is either a melon of a car and he doesn’t trust the service guy they have or he is just a joke! Not sure where he learned math but just be careful if you are looking used route and he is there. Bought my 2019 atlas there dealt with Steve and better management had a great experience. When this sales manager said he came from Kings I already knew he was a straight scam. No one wants to spend more time at a dealership then they have to and this guy made it all horrible. If you want his life story and are bored go ahead and hang out with him but if you are trying to make the process as easy as possible and meet in the middle don’t go!

I went to the collision center for an estimate of repair work that needs to be done on my car. I received what I needed and left. I have no complaints, and I believe they do a good job on auto body repairs.

Absolutely recommend. I called on Wednesday afternoon and was in my new 22’ Tiguan SE R in less than 24 hours! D’arco was so easy and fantastic to work with. He and Ian worked with us to get us in the car WE wanted, and not in some base model every other dealership tries to push on you. Low pressure - high customer service. We came from Honda for my Tiguan. I am so happy to make the change!

I was there to purchase parts for a repair I was doing myself. I had a question apart a particular part and whether the bolts attaching it were re-useable. The parts clerk suggested I ask service. I went to the service department and the service person asked how they could help. I asked my question, which he did not know the answer. I asked if I could ask one of the mechanics . He indicated they don't answer questions for free. I was taken back by this. I bought the car there...great experience and have been buying parts from them for years. This was not good customer service. I was very put off by the experience. Will not be returning.
