“We did a graduation party for my son just this past Sunday. The place was perfect size for our families and his friends. We love the big kitchen. Everyone had a great time. Brad who’s in charge of the space was very caring, tell us if we need anything let him know. After the party he ask how’s everything doing. Highly recommend rented this hall for any occasions. “We had our wedding at The Benison and it exceeded every expectation we had!! From the first time we toured the venue through the final send-off, the entire team was absolutely incredible to work with. I’m a very detail-oriented bride, and they were so patient and accommodating every step of the way. Even though they don’t usually do plated meals, they executed ours perfectly and made it feel completely seamless and elegant. They even have an entire closet of decor that I was able to use!!We did our ceremony and reception there- there is even bridal suite and grooms suite for use.
The food was outstanding in every way. Their chef is truly passionate and talented -he genuinely cares about the quality of every plate. He honored our request for three different entrees and created the exact custom sauce we wanted for the Brussels sprouts. Everything tasted amazing. As someone who is gluten-free, I was so relieved and grateful that they made every single item gluten-free, including serving delicious gluten-free bread that everyone loved. The food was a highlight of the night and received so many compliments.
What truly made the experience magical was how flexible and kind the team was with all our little details. They allowed so many last-minute additions -a champagne toast, coffee and cookies late in the evening, and many other small touches -without EVER making us feel like we were asking for too much. They let us serve a signature drink they’d never made before and even spent a full hour with me fine-tuning the exact uplighting color I had envisioned. Nothing felt too big or too small for them.
The venue itself looked absolutely gorgeous decorated. Every space came to life in the most beautiful way, and the atmosphere was elegant, warm, and romantic-exactly what we had dreamed of. Alyssa and Melissa were so darling and unbelievably nice throughout the entire planning process and on the day. Every single person on the team was genuinely happy for us, smiling, attentive, and full of joy. Their kindness made the whole day feel even more special.
The Benison didn’t just host our wedding-they helped bring our vision to life with professionalism, flexibility, and so much heart. “The course is in good shape except the ninth green. One of the owners told me it's because of an employee error by his dragging a piece of equipment and not following procedures. The ponds that flank holes 5 & 6 were cleaned in October of invasive cattails and ornamental grass. There are plans to remove overgrown shrubs and brush behind the clubhouse the flanks of one tee path and nine green.”

“I hosted my wedding reception at Mill Race and would highly recommend it to anyone. Mike who manages the event area was amazing about answering questions promptly from the time we started talking with him about a year prior to the wedding up until right before. The food was great for the cost, I recommend the brisket with Mac and cheese. Additionally, all the staff present the day of the event were amazing and I felt confident the entire night that our guests were being taken care of.
Mill Race certainly can’t provide the flexibility of some larger wedding venues but if you are willing to work with what they have you will not be disappointed. The staff are all amazing and the space is beautiful. Since the wedding we have received many genuine compliments about how much guests enjoyed themselves and I attribute most of that enjoyment to the lovely staff at Mill Race.”

“Very nice hotel. Great location near many restaurants and activities, as well as being close to Cincinnati without being in Cincinnati. Also less than an hour from Dayton for any aviation enthusiasts. Rooms were clean, the bathroom water pressure was top notch, breakfast was always hot and delicious. Great hotel and would stay again. Only bad thing was the WiFi - it kept going out or would be too slow to do anything. Couldn’t even watch YouTube. Other than that, everything was perfect.”

“This hotel is very nice, I stayed here for 3 days on a team trip. It is located in a very nice area with many stores close-by towards the highway; but in the opposite direction there is beautiful green parks and such. The hotel looked amazing and the rooms were very clean and comfortable. Pillows were slightly to soft and not stiff enough. You have to pay for breakfast, the options and amazing and very tasty.”
