“I wanted to give it a few months before giving a detailed review, but roaster Barbell is an AWESOME gym.I’m new to CrossFit, and had my reservations, as I had no background with gymnastics or Olympic style lifting. Pete’s credentials speak for themselves. He did a phenomenal job introducing me to complex lifts / movements my body hadn’t done before (Highly recommend doing an intro). Moreover, he creates and maintains a safe environment where people aren’t going to hurt themselves.The facility is great, the community is better and Pete’s programming is off the charts. My ultimate goal was to be a better athlete ( for bjj and grappling ) and in just a few months i feel more explosive and more conditioned than I ever have before.I thought it would be intimidating, but there are athletes of all shapes, sizes and skill levels and tenure here - and everyone has been very nice and accommodating. Unless your goal is to not improve your fitness, I 100% recommend checking it out.”
“I live here! I have tried literally all other gyms in the area and none can beat the amazing and highly knowledgable coaches and thoughtfully laid out workouts you will get at otf. The new treadmills r beautiful just like Coach Autumn!! Functional training and great variety with TRX. The workouts are so fun and actually challenging for all levels. HOWEVER- this studio needs new weights and HEAVIER weights for everyone. The winter months come and those old metal weights freeze my small hands. ?”

It was particularly nice being used to a warehouse gym without AC back home. This space was very cool, literally ? The mayhem affiliation is a major bonus. The gym had recently been renovated and the space is really nice. I worked out with Chris who was such a great trainer. He really hit the perfect balance of encouragement and accountability. I had a great workout and will definitely be returning when I am back in town.”
“It’s a good gym. It’s a little pricy some might argue, which to a certain degree I’d agree. However, keep in mind you are paying for a lot of floor space (the gym is pretty spacious). Lots of different types of equipment for various body parts that some gyms wouldn’t ever have. But most importantly it’s the experience/atmosphere you are paying for. The vibe in this gym is like no other. The older equipment, the graffiti on the walls, loud music playing, it’s just a whole vibe in itself there. I’d recommend at least trying a day pass there to get a feel for it if you’d like it, then consider purchasing a membership from there.”
“My daughter started tumbling at Infinity 7 years ago and after a few years asked to start cheering. She started with the half year prep program which was a nice intro to cheer. The staff is amazing and we feel at home with our cheer family. She was hooked after two years on a prep team and is now in her third year of all star cheer going to many competitions. I have enjoyed watching my daughter work hard, get comfortable at this gym, make great friends and see her skills improve over the years. The coaches are even fun to watch. They can get out of breath like the athletes from all their cheering while watching a performance. My daughter loves every single minute she is at the gym and the time she spends with our cheer family at competitions!”

“A colleague of mine, who is an Athletic Trainer, recommended Athletic Performance Training Center when I told him about some back pain, shoulder pain, and an overall need to strengthen my body as I push toward 60 years old. As a beginner in the world of weight training, I was intimidated at the thought of working out with male trainers, and I imagined walking into a gym full of burly dudes and skinny chicks in sports bras! Still, I gave Brian a call, talked to him about my needs and concerns, and he invited me for a free session, just to check it out. I haven't looked back since--I love it! I don't feel uncomfortable at all, and when I recently went on vacation, I was surprised that I really missed doing my workouts! Jeff is there to SHOW me exactly what to do and how to do it without hurting myself. He keeps track of everything so I all have to do is do what I'm told--the decision-making is out of my hands. I have been working out twice a week for 5 months now, but I saw a difference in how my clothes fit after three weeks. I'm amazed what spending about 45 minutes twice a week has done for my body, my mood, and my fitness level. I'm confident that I am continuing to progress and get stronger every week! Look out 60!”
