I love going there. Everyone is so nice, and most importantly they know what they’re doing. I go to Louie, and he’s been a saint about working with me to change my hairstyle when I didn’t really know what I wanted instead. It looks great now, highlights and cut working beautifully to give me a totally easy hairdo. The other stylists also are very talented, and I’d go to any of them if Louie wasn’t available. It’s very relaxing there. No loud noise, nice music, pleasant and roomy environment. Best of all you can have some very thought provoking discussions with Louie or the others while you’re being miraculously transformed into a person with wonderful hair.

On the Corner of Madison/ McKinley is a quaint boutique salon in Lakewood, OHIO. Step in and you warmly greeted by staff. I recently relocated back to the area and scheduled with Louis(owner). Louis is a seasoned, highly experienced stylist whom you have to book weeks in advance.
I was in need of hi-lights and Louis scheduled me with Salem. Today was my first visit with Salem. She did a wonderful job with my baby lights. I like mine to look natural- sunkissed.
While getting to know Salem I observed her raw passion for the industry and it showed through her attention to detail. If you are new to the area and looking and looking for a new place for your hair to call home, this is it!

I had my first appointment with Sydney. I was terrified because of a past experience with another stylist cutting all my hair off instead of doing a simple trim. Sydney was fantastic. I have already scheduled my next hair cut with her and for hair color. She is absolutely amazing. Thank you so much for being patient and understanding 🙏

My daughter had her hair done as a birthday gift. Salem did such a wonderful job!! My daughter looked at her hair all day long, and I had never seen her so confident. The color was beautiful, just what she had asked for, and the cut was perfect too. It's a great place overall! Thank you, Salem, for making my daughter's birthday a special one!!

I've been a client of Louie’s for more than a decade. He does highlights and cuts my hair. He's skilled, hospitable, and awesome to be around. Being in the salon is relaxing and peaceful.
About a year ago I started having regular blowouts with Salem and they are always fantastic. She specializes in vibrant colors and if that is your vibe you'd be well-served by seeng her.
My sons (17-22) see Louie for haircuts as well. They are always happy!
I couldn't recommend a salon more.

Just had the most lovely experience at Illuminate Salon! I went in for a haircut just after my son was born and walked out a new person. Louie and Sydney were so friendly and attentive. The small salon is super clean, modern and relaxing. As someone who doesn’t generally enjoy the salon vibe, I can genuinely say that I will never go anywhere else again as long as I live in Lakewood. Thank you so much, Louie and co! xoxo

Louis is the Beat! He is a terrific listener snd observer. My hair always looks like my inspo photos or better—usually the latter. He keeps my hair healthy despite the color, highlights, and my attachment to my blow dryer. He’s truly talented.

I’ve been going to Louie for years, I get bored with my hair after so long and he always has great ideas for color and style.
The salon has a great ambiance and all the staff are really friendly, I wouldn’t be happy anywhere else!

I see Sydney and she's wonderful! My goal was platinum and she has actually gotten me there, when I think like some stylists won't go super blonde. She is very skilled at doing blondes. Her personality is what makes the time at the salon very enjoyable! We have the best conversations. She knows what she's doing, especially with my a-line bob! SLAYS every time!!!!! 100% recommend Sydney.
