Got lied to about the number of lines I had to have. Got lied to about the cost of an upgrade. Got sold stuff I was told I needed but didn’t. Would not recommend dealing with this store.

I've been working in customer service for over 7 years and I would never treat anyone as disrespectfully as Derek treated me. I have a 76 year old grandmother who went into this store on her own and ended up with a new phone and very confused about what she got.
Me, being a very protective granddaughter, went in a little heated hours later to speak with someone about the phone. I was luck enough to get Derek, who had previously helped my grandmother. I will admit that I was a bit stern (not mean, just a bit upset because I was under the impression that my grandma had been taken advantage of). He explained things to me, which was great, and when I got the chance to apologize, I did.
He proceeded to basically roll his eyes at me, blatantly right in front of me. He didn't accept my apology at all, which whatever, but to make a face at me when I was decent enough to acknowledge my wrong doing is insane.
I intend on finding service through a different company as soon as possible.

I initially went to the Verizon store on the East side of town because I noticed an extra line on my account 3 months ago. I was told it was nothing and would eventually fall off. I was very close to going to a different provider but decided to try to go to this location. I'm so glad I did! Not only were they able to sort out my account but they treated me like a person, not just a way to make $$$$$! I will NEVER go back to the other location. This is were I will be going from now on!

I'm not happy with this store, but full disclosure my review is based on talking to a rep over the phone who was selling my in laws a new phone. They were at the store in person but I'm the authorized signer on the family account. I told the rep he just needed a mid-range smart phone, nothing fancy. My father in law comes home and ended up with an expensive case, two separate chargers and insurance. Pretty disappointed that they sold someone who didn't really understand what was going on all that extra stuff. We didn't need the majority of it.
Also, $40 just to activate a new device is such a greedy bogus charge. The plans are already expensive enough. That's a Verizon thing tho and not directly related to this store.
