“So far so good. I changed insurance carriers a year ago. Combined my auto and house and saved a good $300+ from my old Eire insurance that I had for almost 20 years. Erie kept raising my rates even though I never made a claim on my house or car and never had a ticket or moving violation in my entire life. Same with State Farm before Erie. I had them for a good 17 years and me and my truck got older, but my rate kept going up for no good reason. At least with Allstate I can get a discount for good driving, and I downloaded the App that tracks my driving habits. I only put maybe 4k-5k on my car each year. My house is nice but not huge either. Maybe around 100k to 120k corner lot. I do have Auto pay that automatically withdraws from my checking account. I think I have to have that to get another discount. Also, auto insurance can ONLY be paid for 6 months NOT whole year, which is a downside for me but oh well. Home insurance can be paid for whole year though which is very nice.”
