Ludwig is one of the absolute worst companies I've ever had to deal with. I setup services last year and was put on what they are a pre-paid plan because my credit was to low to be on automatic fill plan. So I paid almost $500 to have them come out to put gas in my tank. Then when it got low they took it up themselves to come out in March of this year. They filled my tank all the way up without an standing balance on my account and still being on what they call a prepaid account then told me that if I didn't pay it they were going to come take the regulator off my tank and then the next step would be taking the entire tank. How and I being held responsible for their mess up? Why aren't they taking accountability for what they did ?

We have been with Ludwig for years. The customer service has gone absolutely downhill since they are no longer locally owned. They are now charging a “delivery fee and safety fee.” What a joke and a way of making more money. Not to mention their propane was one of the highest around this year. We switched to another supplier who placed a brand new tank and has provided excellent customer service. It would be great if they came and got their old 1993 tank off my property as it has been a month already. We will never go back!

Their customer service is horrible. Prices are higher than other places as well. Apparently we had gas leaks throughout house, and they never notified us after their inspections. We were quickly going through out gas. We were told that it's the price we pay to live out in the country ( expensive heating). We had another propane company come out to switch, they found several leaks right away. They fixed for free and we noticed a huge difference in percentage after leaks were fixed. Do not recommend this company!

If i could give less i would.Came out because i smelled a leak. Instead of fixing the leak they disconected the line. Left me without heat for 2 nights because it wasnt their "service day". ITS BELOW 0 AT NIGHT! The legal reason I understand. They disconected because of the possibility of me blowing up. But to not fix something because its not the service day is Absolutely appalling. Done with them and will be telling everyone I know about this!!

I would rather chop wood by hand and live in a tent next to a fire in the dead of Ohio winter than deal with Ludwig Propane for my heat for another day. They are rude, have terrible communication and you'll pay much more than other local propane companies.

Have had an account with them for years....customer service has definitely gone down hill the past year. Have had huge problems with setting up budget payments the past two years and don't get great service when we call in and ask questions. They called us in April/May to ask about topping off our tank b/c prices were really low, we told them to go ahead and put us on the route....still have not had that delivery, called to ask about it and they haven't made any trips out our way yet..... Just got a bill for $300, called to ask what it was about, well we didn't pay our bill last month (we didn't get one) oh well sorry about your luck we sent them out. We will be calling around getting rates for new companies because of how terrible we've been treated over the past year....apparently being a customer for 10+ years doesn't matter to this company

Called to ask about changing to Ludwig after our company of many years went out of business / sold to national chain. GREAT service, helpful, friendly crew installed our tank exactly when and where requested.

Have been speaking with this company for 3 weeks for a system install. According to the last person I spoke with they would call me soon to set up the install. Called today, they couldn't find any paperwork reflecting what I was last told, now say they can't install until Spring, wish they would have told me they were too busy for me, wasted 3 weeks waiting on this company and they didn't seemed concerned at all. Every time I called it was like the first time, repeating all my info. Probably for the best.....
