About The Christy House - Event Venue
Based on the reviews, The Christy House is a private home originally built by the Christy family in 1929 and remains a shining example of Colonial Revival architecture. This venue is absolutely beautiful, spacious, and perfect for events like baby showers, bridal showers, and weddings. Guests loved and complimented the place, noting the beautiful character and endless photo ops. The venue features 5 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, a dining room and breakfast room, a game room in the basement, and extra kitchen amenities. Outside is the unspoiled Christy Farm Nature Preserve, though one word of caution is for the walnut trees on a windy day. The staff, including Jeanne and Jean, were super helpful, attentive, and readily available. The venue offers white tablecloths, real dishes, and easy parking with 3 hotels less than 5 minutes away. It comfortably fit groups of 25-40 people. The only regret from one reviewer was not booking it for a longer window, as everyone would have stayed longer.

Great venue and staff. The venue was absolutely gorgeous and our wedding came out perfect. Jeanne and the rest of the staff were super helpful with any needs that we had.

What a wonderful venue for a bridal shower! It fit 35-40 people comfortably and has such beautiful character. Jean was so much help that we didn't know we needed until we did!
