About AEP Ohio
AEP Ohio has a mixed reputation among its customers. Some appreciate the efforts of the linemen, especially during emergencies like Hurricane Helene, who provided water and Gatorade while repairing lines. However, others express frustration over frequent power outages caused by old equipment, citing incidents like a transformer fire that occurred multiple times. Customers with medical issues feel particularly vulnerable during these outages. On a positive note, one customer reported a pleasant experience with customer service when stopping their service, highlighting the professionalism of staff.

The amount of riders they tack onto your bill is an absurd money grab and they are screwing over everyone because they know there is no alternative for people. One of the slimmest companies out there.

Nothing but lies! Was told the power woukd be restored by 7pm yesterday. Here it the next day and no power. No calls to check if power was on or off. AEP is the worst but charges you an arm and a leg for service.

Crooks.
Bills are unjustified, equipment is old and outdated.
Finding somewhere to live inside of south central power grid is top priority.
