Today was Brody’s first visit with Dr. Shuler at Horizon Animal Hospital. I think it’s safe to say he was as pleased with the staff as I was!
So happy we choose them as our veterinarian!

Dr John treats my dogs like they were his own pets. He is the most compassionate, caring vet I've ever had. He's treated my dogs and gotten them through some really rough times. I tell him he cannot retire as long as I have dogs!

0 out of 10! Emergency care is non-existent here.
Unfortunately, we drove out of our way to take our dog here for emergency care after experiencing a complicated birth as our vet is out of town and unavailable to see our lab. We walked in the door to receive zero compassion for our situation and zero advice. Two women condescendingly told us that all of their providers "were in surgery" today and that we could not be helped. When asked for further advice on what to do, they gave zero advice or support.
So, although I can not speak to the actual "care" given here since we were pushed away without so much as even a glance at our pet, I can't imagine it could be too great after the experience of walking in the door with an emergency pet situation was so casually tossed out.
I hope neither of these women ever find themselves in such a situation with their pet and are treated as we were today.
Should you have a pet emergency, save yourself a trip and find care elsewhere!

What a phenomenal vet and office! Handles waterfowl, WELL! We had one heck of a time finding a vet who could handle our Sebastopol gaggle. This vet did it, did it well, and enjoyed our goose as much as we do. She has a clean bill of health and we have a vet near our home for all of our animals including our farm animals! We couldn't ask for better care for our furbabies! We drive 3 hours to see Dr. Schuler and his team. We completely trust, appreciate, and value the care services that he offers.

Update: We are very lucky to have Dr Schuler and his caring staff in Galion. They check our Ann over each visit to try to keep her cancer free.Photo- She thinks if she's close to the door she'll get out sooner ?

Dr. Shuler was the only vet we could find in an emergency for our rabbit, Mabel (even though we had a vet already for her) What a blessing! I don't want to be melodramatic but he saved her life. Everyone is so nice and caring. I couldn't ask for more.
