We were customers of United bank and then they merged with Peoples so now are Peoples United Bank. Half of our accounts we never recieved a debit card for, called customer service and the people there were rude very snappy and in no way wanted to help us. Told us to call our branch to figure it out. Then we had a problem with our contact info on my husband's account it reverted back to when we first opened the account so again we contacted customer service and got another rude employee who again continously snapped at my husband who he then told that he would go to a branch to fix the issue since their call center had no sense of what good customer service entails and that he didnt appreciate they eay they spoke to him. My husband and I both work in customer service and would be out of a job if we spoke to people the way Peoples United bank does.... Read More

Worst bank I have been with yet, they shut your business card off when they call and you don't answer, all over a mistake that ended up being a tellers fault not mine. Not a good bank to run a trucking business through when you depend on the card for out of state truck repairs and it don't work.

As, a current account holder. I would like to see this bank update their computer/online/website capabilities to meet the need's of today's costumer. Their system is not in "real time". When a customer makes any type of transaction on a Friday, and has to wait until Tuesday of the following week to see this on their account online. Many of today's customers such as myself make multi. transaction's per. day using my debit card P.O.S & online ( my eBay store). For me, having an account that does not have the ability to keep up and show this in "near" real time can be a problem.
