Price gouging people of color in closeouts,a practice I've witnessed this particular Marcs store use over several years as more people of color begin to frequent for example, I wanted to purchase a painting with a black woman on it, the sign says" wall art $1.99" all paintings in the section have $1.99 stickers except the one with the black woman on it, when I ask for a store manager he refused sale for the marked price and insisted that that particular painting was $10.99.

They could clean it up a little bit better, floors, and they put to many things in the main alias, by the eggs, can't really get around people.

Terrible i just wanted a few onions and saw things in there that made me sick and never even want to buy cleaning supplies, because they need it to clean that disgusting store, items are clearly past due they're rotting literally.

this place sucks! there is always only 1 or 2 lines open when there is a lot of shoppers waiting to check out! always waiting in line for a half hour 45 mins, then when you finally get up to check out the associates are so rude and unprofessional they don't even speak to you until your total. the store is always cluttered and the fruits and veggies are never fresh. DO BETTER.

We live in Solon, where there is a Marc's. It seems dirty, old and disorganized. We rarely shop there, but when we do it has everything and then some that you might need. The Garfield store is much nicer and cleaner. For us Aldi's is a much cleaner choice.

I was pleasantly surprised at the customer service I received from Dionte O (the cashier on my receipt). He greeted me very warmly and proceeded to ring up my purchase. I have shopped here since 2005 and this young man was the very first to show such great customer service. He maintained eye contact when greeting me and thanked me for my business And added have a blessed day! I was proud to see such service from a teenager. Unfortunately, in the past this has not always been the case. He is definitely a hidden gem working at this store. The store was well stocked and quite orderly as well. I know the importance of hearing some compliments and today I experienced a pleasant surprise. Keep up the good work!

I'll start out by saying Marc's is a fantastic company and you can't beat shopping there. My wife is the one who ventures out and she's at the Marc's near us - Lyndhurst area - Mayfield Road - at least four times a week. I also own a rental house in Maple Heights and have been to this location many times, but I will say I stopped going to this one a while back. Other people have echoed the reasons, mostly due to the ridiculous wait time in check out lines and the obvious lack of ANY urgency with the cashiers. I will say they are nice enough, but they move like sloths. My biggest gripe is the clientele and the attitudes they bring to the entire store. I won't subject myself to that anymore in my life if I can help it. The entitled attitudes are just unreal and the rudeness isn't worth my blood pressure going up any more than it is. Great prices and quality items, but I just can't with this area ....... and I'll end with this - my wife is a black woman so it's got nothing to do with the race of most of the people shopping there, it's the ghetto attitudes. I'll stick to the one in my neck of the woods.

There was one lane open and customer service. It was later in the day, so there were a lot of people, and the lines were ridiculous! I was in a motorized cart and had to go through customer service, which was difficult, because of the basket in front. Once I got through, they opened up one other lane. They needed at least three or four open. My mom had to help an older woman bag her groceries, because no one was doing that, either. A manager came out, saw my mom bagging, turned around and walked away, instead of helping. My mom is older, too.

Always shop the Closeout sections for miscellaneous deals on things. Holiday decor is always a plus from here.

My experience was very poor this evening. I use to enjoy coming to this location years ago, but since then, it has went way downhill. Granted, the store is mostly clean and has RECENTLY started having more stock available, but the cashiers made me go from what would have been a 3 star review to 1. I was standing in line for 20 minutes, patiently waiting . I was next up in line when the cashier looked at me and told me sorry, this lane is closed now. His light was still on and there were many people standing behind me for about 15 minutes. I explained to him that I had been in line for 20 minutes and he never said anything until I was up next. He told me sorry, but I’m still closed. What I don’t understand is why did you wait u til I was next, after I had been in line for 20 minute tea, with your lane light still on, to just THEN tel me you are now closed? I had to switch to another lane next to me and had to wait yet another 15 minutes. I didn’t even bother speaking with the manager as I had already been there long enough and didn’t think anyone would listen to me other than the other customers. The light should have been turned off 20 minutes prior and he should have notified everyone in the lane that he was closing and who his last customer would be. I was patient enough to deal with the line in the first place knowing everywhere is short staffed, but this situation is ridiculous. Definitely lost a customer. Come on..do better..
