While Dylon was kind enough to answer lots of questions over the couple months I worked with him, overall, my mortgage rate was worse than with other lenders and the experience was chaotic/stressful.My closing was delayed by several days, which threatened the entire deal. This delay came without advanced warning or explanation.I repeatedly asked what other information was needed from me, and yet I dealt with many requests the day before the (updated) closing date that required me to search through files, contact my employer(!), and carve time out of my work day. These last minute requests left me with no ability to change my loan structure or escrow account, because we were all focused on just getting it done. I would have benefited from a clear, succinct checklist provided at the start with every document I'd need to provide and when.Additionally, I was told to wait to lock in my rate with CrossCountry/American Eagle because Dylon expected rates to fall. At the end of two weeks, my rate was an entire percent higher than it would have been had I locked in earlier, as was my initial plan.While usually responsive, the team did not seem to have a good read on the market and was not clear on the process up front.

Shane Burris and Jason Roth are exceptionally talented in their careers and made the lending process a breeze for me and my family. Dylon was incredibly patient with me as my fiancé and I navigated our first home buying experience. He answered all my questions before we applied, through the application and home search process, and up through the day of closing. I felt well informed and and taken care of. This group also works closely with my real estate agent, making it for an even smoother process.
