I do not recommend Spitzer Ford Hartville. When I moved to Hartville I had a local high end Ford owner suggest AutonNation Ford for service when I mentioned taking my vehicles to Spitzer Ford Hartville for service. I wish I had heeded that advice. I had taken two vehicles to the service department for 3 years and had them miss issues on both my car and truck on more then one occasion. One of my vehicles was going to soon be out of warranty, and had multiple discussions with the service rep and the service manager about resolving an issue on my car before it went directly into winter storage and the warranty expired. The car had been in for AC leaks on two other occasions before and it had not been resolved, and the rep reassured me it was resolved after the last fall service. Last year in the spring with warranty expired, I pulled the car out and had again leaked all its AC coolant. After more than a few months of back and forth, the Service Manager told me in a text that it was a "New" problem and they could offer a repair at their shop cost to the tune of around $900 rather then fix the problem they said was resolved while under the warranty. I then took it to Autonation as I could not longer trust the word of the Management or the service I had received and felt burned. They had also missed serious transmission issues on my truck when I had told them the truck was not going into gear at times and slipping out of gear when on an incline. The rep said a recall the truck had might take care of it and it did not. After taking it to the North Canton dealer they said the transmission had a seal leak for some time and had low fluid after Hartville Spitzer Ford had just serviced it. It also had a bad transmission pump that had to be replaced.During all of this, I had left two messages for the Spitzer General Manger to call me, and he received a request from corporate customer service to reach out to me as well, and I never received a phone call. On the plus side, I had a great experience with a very knowledgeable Parts Department Manager who was helpful, friendly and always went above and beyond. I just wish I had had the same experience with the rest of the dealership. This dealership did not stand behind their work when I was told the issue was fixed, then told me it was a new problem for the same issue, and then wanted to charge me for a problem that their techs should have been more thorough on. The service manager clearly felt his numbers were more important then keeping the customer. This is why I took my business elsewhere

I would not recommend buying from Spitzer (Ford at least). I don't want to write a extended sob story, but I'll give highlights of my experience.Called to come look at car (2022 Kia Sorento PHEV), they said it was available, called 45 mins away to verify, they said we were good, arrived to be told the car sold. They called next day to say the sell fell through and we could look at it. We live 40 mins away.We bought care, financed half, spoke with sales rep and finance rep, everybody was nice in the moment. Gave us $1k off for the day priors experience.Pulled car into driveway and all dash lights come on. Took back next day. They kept for a whole month and bounced it between multiple Spitzer Lots only to find out that it was a wire connector with tension pulling it apart. Car had prior issue that was "supposedly" fixed, but turn out to just be quickly fixed an put out for sale. So for the first month of owning the vehicle, we didn't even have it. We made our first payment without possessing the vehicle. They did provide loaner vehicles that need swapped out and but the end, they were trying to get me to drive to Akron to rent a vehicle so I wasn't putting miles on their vehicle, which I understand, but they wanted me to drive 90 min round trip to get the car.We were told by Finance Rep that old plates would be transferred and registered, they weren't. Also was told it yearly registration would be as a hybrid ($100 registration), it was not, Plug in Hybrids are considered full electric ($200 registration).I have gone through the sale paperwork multiple times and I still have not been able to get back to a single sale price. Different documents add up to different amounts. So I'm not even 100% what I paid for the car.Tried 4 times to call and speak with the Financial Rep again to clarify costs, sale price, and other information and still (6 months later) have never received a callback. And my favorite part, they charged me $319 for something called "Etchguard" that supposedly helps in the retrieval of the vehicle if it stolen. Its numbers etched into the widows (not aesthetically pleasingly I might add). If the care isn't retrieved withing 48-72 (I believe, can't remember the exact number), you are given $2500 towards a new car. $2500 is a tenth of the down payment for the Kia. Best part is, it wasn't even on the car. I called my sales rep and told them and they did refund my money for the etching that didn't exist. They said they do it to all new cars, but I bought it used. They just lied about it and paid out when they were caught. All this said, I expected a lot more service and understanding since I spent $50,000 on this car. Which when its working, I love the car (I knew it was new technology and expected some recalls). I was always just made to feel like a nuisance. Again, these are just the highlights of my experience. They say your family when you're at Spitzer Ford in Hartville, honestly I'd rather not be related.

Called to check on the vehicle said they had it there on the lot come to find out it was already sold but yet wanted us to still go there because they found another for us . But really what they were trying to do is try to force me into something on there lot . they made promises and they make you think they're going out of the way for you but in real life they're trying to fish bait you get you on their lot try to force you into something and make a sale. Test drove my trade-in and wouldn't even tell me what they will give me for it unless I found a vehicle on the lot the salesman was very disrespectful very deceitful and lied and did everything he could just get me on that lot I wouldn't buy anything from this place even if they offered it to me 50% of sticker . Brandon the salesmen was a snake like the old salesmen long ago .lol

No pressure to buy, just very polite and helpful sales people. Sean Greene especially went above and beyond to make sure we had all the information to make an informed decision and to give us the best prices possible.

Spritzer sends direct mailers (usually 2 at a time) to buy a truck I haven’t had since 2018. I’ve told them several times I do not own the truck and tried to have them appraise it for trade in 2018. I’m still waiting for a response even though at the time they had the vehicle for a week and didn’t even do the service requested or provide a trade in value. I bought at Nick Mayer and they had me in and out with the exact vehicle I wanted in 2 hours. Spitzer wouldn’t even call me back but instead send so many mailers I’m about to call the EPA for wasting entire trees.

I stopped in unannounced, after not feeling my nearby Ford was giving me a decent deal. Jonathan White surprised me with great customer service, a decent price and next day home delivery of my new Ford. Between him and Brandon Nagy, I spent less time buying a vehicle than a cell phone LOL. Thanks for giving me a good experience!

The service department lacks in communication, customer service, and overall professionalism. They didn't take a photo/submit so a part would be covered by warranty, so now we are liable. This has been going on since October, which is also ridiculous. Mike, Seth, & Brandon did not properly do their jobs, obviously do not care about customer service, nor do they stand behind their work.

I would not recommend buying a car from Spitzer Ford Hartville. We purchased a used car from them on June 30th, 2021 and we are still trying to obtain a valid title. Apparently when the sold us our car they did not have the title in their possession (or have quick access to it) We have been working with their finance person since June and have been provided every excuse in the book. So totally frustrated Janice H
