Place is not bad, I used to go off and on when it was at the old location in Heath next to the Toys r Us by the mall and have gone with my brother a few times since they moved.
I think a few things of note that keep it from being higher rated.
1. Bryan seems to not be at the store frequently during business hours. They will be closed when listed as open. I have witnessed this once myself and see numerous reviews stating the same.
2. Smell. I am not sure why the original store and this new one both have a very musty strange smell but its off putting.+
3. Backlog on repairs. My brother actually reached out about repairs and it was quoted for a very long turnaround. He got his back after a while no problem, but I have seen numerous reviews stating that it has been YEARS since their repair and they cannot even get ahold of Bryan on the phone. This is crazy and very off putting to me.
I think Video Trader is an overall good store that just needs to improve in a few areas to really be great.

Best Video Game store around! Bryan is great to talk to, very knowledgeable about all games and Dvd movies. Also just a really nice guy. I've been going here for the last 10-12 years.

I've been buying games from video trader ever since I was a kid. To this day I've never had a single issue with them. Bryan and his team are great people, the vibe in the store is always awesome, and they go out of their way for you every time. I can't tell you how many times these guys have went over the top to get me what I was looking for. Would give more than 5 stars on the review if I could!

Bryan's Video Trader is my all time favorite game store. This shop has been a staple of my gaming journey for over half of my life. I went to the old location behind Stacey's Buffet all the time throughout my adolescence. I'd marvel at the extensive collection of media & figurines (especially the entire wall filled with PS2 games), play the arcade cabinets throughout the store and scrape together whatever cash or trade-in's I could to fund the next venture. They've always had remarkably great prices, deals and selection, often I'd see some sort of niche retro gaming artifacts during my visits and I always appreciated it.
There is no place I'd rather go for any of my retro gaming needs. I was in need of a CRT on my last visit, and after seeing a few around the shop I inquired further. Bryan took the time to look through his entire inventory, setup and thoroughly playtest one with me. He then proceeded to give me an insanely good deal for it which I jumped on immediately. This man is the embodiment of why I once wanted to own a game shop; we were chatting for a while and he ended up showing me all kinds of oddities/rarities that have come thru his doors. Seeing him light up with passion and excitement throughout my visit was heartwarming. I never expect these things but to be met with such exceptional service that makes me feel like one of the bois is a rarity I sincerely appreciate. Thanks for helping me build my collection over all these years~

I’ve drove here from over an hour away at least 5 times. Bryan is never here and his store is never open. Doesn’t make sense to have hours listed on your website when you don’t abide to them. He never answers the phone either. Complete waste of time if you ever plan on coming here.

I had taken in a playstation 4 controller in 2022 and was told they were backed up on fixing controllers and would take about 4 months because his wife was the one fixing controllers well a year later in 2023 I called asking about it and the owner was supposed to call me back he didn't and here it is another year later and still haven't gotten my controller back or that call.

Place smelled bad. A bunch of clutter behind the counter. Trade offers were horrible. Will never go here again.
