Between the lack of customer options (tank monitoring, auto refill) and the automated system is terrible. I called in a refill for a 500 gallon tank. It stated I could avoid an upcharge if I approved at least 200 gallons, which I did. They only put 200 gallons in the tank, I barely made it to the end of the season without having to do another order. You can tell this is a huge company that does not care about customer service.

If I could give no stars I would. The customer service is completely disconnected from one another. Each one doesn't know what the other has done from the previous call even though there are 'notes' in the system. They wouldn't bring gas for almost two weeks when we were out because it was showing full and they didn't believe me that it was empty. A year later and their tank manufactured in 1951 is still on my property and no one has come to pick it up. Use a local coop and literally anyone else.

It would of been nice if the people taking the phone calls would communicate with the guys actually doing the work. That way they can show up with the proper equipment to do the work. Still haven't done the hookup to the tank. Really bad communication.

I called them last night to get a refill as our tank is out to heat our house (it's 30°) got a call this morning they took my $1400 and said they would be out at 1150am and I said great came home at 1 pm, and the tank was still empty. I called, they acted like I was lying about them, saying they would be there today. I asked to pull the call they said, well, a manager would have to do that, so I said, excellent, to go ahead. They acted like they would call me back after Thanksgiving in 3 days.

The new automated phone service is horrible. Have dealt with Ferrelgas for years and have been pleased. However, I've tried all day to get through to my local propane shop. If I can't reach a human to order their product, I guess I'll order elsewhere.

Amazing service- they listen. I built a house in the woods on the side of a hill in 1991, never had propane before. Tank was at 5% two days before my first Christmas in my dream house, they delivered gas on Christmas Eve- someone listened. My driveway is a challenge in good weather, last week a family member was in the hospital-we stayed in the hospital 2 nights and it snowed. Getting to the house packed wet snow on the drive that froze into ice and I didn't have time to clean it properly. Monday at 8am the driver made more attempts than I would have and left. I called and explained I would work on the driveway overnight but spent another night in the hospital. The next evening, after 8 hrs at work, in the dark on about 3 hrs sleep, I got the driveway passable and called this morning at 7:01 am. Karen took my call. She listened. Gas was delivered today to my dream house. I can spend time with my family and not worry about the propane running out because someone listened. I don't like paying more than a reasonable amount for anything, but sometimes you are paying for more than a commodity. The people that work for Ferrellgas are amazing, they listen- Michelle, Karen- and the driver that delivered the gas - are the difference worth staying with them - and I have been for 28 years now. I may pay a little more, but I know I can trust Ferrellgas to deliver.
