“Rented a 16 foot truck to move my Mom's stuff from Boca Raton to Beachwood. The one way rental was picked up at Del Rey Beach and returned at the Penske Truck Rental at the Home Depot located at the Home Depot on Wilson Mills Road. Did the initial price quote online at the Penske website. A follow up phone call from Penske offered additional discounts on the rental which resulted in significant savings; I would strongly recommend asking them what discounts are available, the phone representative was very helpful. The pickup went smoothly the truck was gassed up and ready to go, although we did have to ask for the moving blankets that we had booked, they did not have the hand truck that we had also booked. Loading the truck went smoothly, the 16 footer was plenty of room for what we needed, the ramp helps tremendously with the loading and unloading. On the road the truck was just fine, just have to be careful with the larger dimensions. Truck operates well at highway speeds, although there is a speed limiter at 75 mph. We got somewhere about 12 mpg. The cab of the truck is reasonably comfortable with a couple of power outlets. There is a USB port which powered the phone; but it didn't allow for music to be played until the second day on the road. The return at the Home Depot on Wilson Mills took a little longer then I would have liked since no one told me take a photo of the dashboard with the mileage and gas being filled. Overall this move went better then expected, price was reasonable, the truck is good to drive and comfortable for 2 people.”
