The previous owners of my dog brought her here so I kept the same practice. It was a smooth transition moving the previous medical records to my name. My dog is extra nervous about vet visits. They have put pheromones on a neckerchief, fed her spray cheese on a stick, and given her treats in an effort to make friends and try to relax her. It doesn't work, but they can give her an exam, give her shots, weigh her, and trim her nails. During the pandemic, no one was allowed in with their dog so I would call to say we were here, and a vet tech would come get her. The vet would talk to me in the parking lot afterwards. The park and call signs are still up (they tell me to bring her in) which I appreciate because as a stressed dog she tends to bark at other dogs that might be too close to her or me. We can slip in and go to the exam room quickly. Right now there is a respiratory disease going around making dogs ill and deteriorating rapidly. They have a sign on the door to not bring in coughing dogs. They obviously care about the safety of their employees and the animals in their care. Payment can be done in the exam room and a .pdf receipt is sent to my email which makes insurance claims easy.

Avery animal hospital is the best! We moved north, and tried a different vet. Needless to say, we will make the drive! They are always friendly, accommodating, and truly love their pets! Thank you for taking care of the newest member of our family!

Recently moved to the area from downtown and wanted to switch vets to be closer to home and I have been blown away by the support from the vets here! I have been in quite a few times lately because of ear and eye infections for my pup and all of the staff/vets at Avery Animal Hospital have been terrific. Definitely recommend!

My Mom and I have been going to Avery for over 20 yrs and have always been super pleased. They handle everything from check-ups to the unfortunate time when too need to say goodbye to your pet with transparency and great care! Couldn't ask for a better vet hospital and the docs and staff are amazing.

This week i took my new 5 month old yorkie in for a basic check up, making sure she's 100% healthy. I feed both my yorkies a 100% BARF raw diet. We use nosades instead of vaccines and follow a holistic vet for immunity against parvo, distemper and rabies. We are a 100% vax free family so having a traditional vet respect our beliefs and choices is a big importance to us. The man we had was absolutely wonderful. (I'm mad i can't remember his name) He respected my decision and didn't push it. He understand that my dogs are under 6 lbs and vaccines can cause severe reactions that I'm not willing to test. Both will be receiving their yearly titer tests this October to prove immunity again though. The vet went as far as too ask me to send him articles, court hearings, etc from holistic and homeopathic vets around the world which i GREATLY APPRECIATED AND Makes me really trust and feel comfortable around this veterinarian office. They never tried to push their poison on us (heartgaurd, prescription food, or meds). Which i took away one star as they do sell these products and have them in the office on show case. Over all, I'm happy with our second experience and I'm glad i don't have to drive an hour to our holistic vet in yellow springs for just a basic check up ! If Avery animal clinic comments, I'd love if they would be willing to post my vets name as i forget it ! He took care of Elsa and Ekko on Wednesday at 10:30

My husband and I have been bringing our two dogs to Avery for 3 or 4 years and we love them! All of the techs and vets are so helpful and warm and they take the time to explain things to you. I can tell everyone here truly cares about our pups and they aren't just trying to sell us something or make money. We recommend Avery to all our friends - best vet experience we've ever had!

I have been going here for years and would not take my pets anywhere else. The facility is superclean, the doctors are very competent and the staff is all very caring!
