Guy I had didn't make me feel taken care of. I live in my car and have been having car problems making it to where I'm limited on travel the last 4 months. He refused to tell me how much I owed u guys and other stuff. Now I'm pass due on my taxes. When my car was somewhat more drivable, I even tried to get a meeting and wouldn't meet. I don't understand why I keep getting treat poorly by society, I go to work and don't do nothing illegal. Smh won't be coming bacc

I do not recommend going to Mona Fink at the H&R Block on Cemetery Rd in Hilliard. She has a very unpleasant attitude and overall poor customer service skills

Horrible experience. Ended up having to pull our taxes from them because they couldn’t ever get the numbers right, it always changed, and it went from us getting a refund to us owning almost several thousand $$. Never go here they really really don’t know they are doing.

This review is for the Hilliard and Sawmill location. I had my 2021 taxes completed with John Flanagan at Sawmill - he was super nice and helpful and did a great job. I then had a couple additional issues that were more complex, he referred me to his manager, Li Cheng, who was at the Sawmill location but we met at my scheduled appointment with her at the Hilliard location. She seems to lack self awareness, patience and customer service. I actually remember hearing how she talked to customers at the Sawmill location (aggressive tone, condescending, rude), but I didn't think too much about it and plus didn't realize I would work with her later on. At our appointment, she was asking be so many questions back to back, without looking at any of the papers I brought, told me what I needed to do, asked a lot of condescending questions that lacked constructive detail. Since she didn't ask me a lot of relevant discovery questions nor took the time to ask qualifying questions on my situations, I wasn't sure if her answers were grasping the entire picture. Some questions asked and statements said in a rude manner include: "do you know how to amend your tax return?!" "Did you read the entire letter?" "It says here what they are looking for" "if you call them they'll tell you what they're looking for" (I asked "do you mean they just tell me how much and I pay it?" She then said "no, you have to amend it" ..... I told her that yes, I did read it and.. THIS IS WHY I AM HERE to get your help on amending a tax return that I'm willing to pay $$$$ for. She then said "I'll have to put in your entire tax return" and turned her back to me as if she doesn't want to take the time to do the work. Due to a lack of context in her answers (it was a lot of "THIS needs to be done and THAT".. and then she would follow up with "let me look this up since this is not something I do often"... she then printed several pages of IRS stuff and gave it to me "here read this". I then asked "okay, so I will need to do this myself?"... (it was very confusing what was going on) .. she then rudely and loudly and quickly said "LET ME READ THIS" Lack of clarity and direction and who needs to do what. She was so frantic, rude and dismissive and I tried to give her grace but found we needed to end the conversation because her attitude was not tolerable. I told her she was yelling at me and she began to argue with me that she wasn't. Overall, there is a need for training for managers (Li Cheng is a manager) on better customer service, patience and and understanding that people who seek help at H&R Block likely don't know what they're doing! I would've given five stars to John Flanagan If I only interacted with Li Cheng, this review would have 0 stars. The two interactions averages to this two star review with heavier weight on the rude manager, especially since this has left me with two unresolved issues. I even scheduled the appointment with her several weeks later because she was on vacation to accommodate her. But this then pushes me to need to hurry to make my amendment by the deadline. Not good.

this is my third year going to h&r block. they do a good job at a good rate.
